I know what it's like to deal with the public. You can't satisfy everybody, especially those who are very demanding. My mother bought from them 32 years ago. See for yourself what an independent retailer offers over the chain store or the internet. Old fashion service, knowledgeable staff, and a good selection of merchandise
at various price points. They do their own deliveries, not outsourced. And they bring it into your home, not dropped on the sidewalk for you to contend with. Set up on cribs is only a $20.00 fee, which goes to the delivery men. I highly recommend them, they've been doing this for 62 years and I hope they'll be here for another 62 years.

We spent about an hour here looking at bunkbeds with my wife 8 months pregnant. We overlooked the very pushy and condescending sales lady, based on the convenience. We bought a baby bath and a monitor for our child due in a month. We called back to say we would be in to buy the bunkbeds (more than $2000 in total). The monitor which we had bought on sale was defective and the babybath leaked. We entered the store to a nice greeting and discussion of the bunk beds. When we showed that the monitor was broken and the bath leaked, they asked for a receipt, which my wife said she did not have - and a Amex receipt is no good, becasue it is not itemized! At this point the LOSER smelly owner's son, bad breath and all, told us that no one would take back a monitor without a receipt, because he needed the price. We said it was on sale for $20 or $25. He refused, and insulted me by saying --"what would youI expect,you bought a closeout item", and I should try to go to Best Buy and return it -- and on the babybath he complained that since "all of you" want Chinese goods, this is what you get -- I am not joking!!! After a terse exchange in which I advised him that only a loser would give up a $2,000 sale over $25, I must have touched a nerve, because he then informed me that "you should only be a loser like me, I could buy and sell you all day", and that he would never sell me bunkbeds!! Oh my!
My personal advice to him is less garlic and more soap! My shopping advise to everyone else is that Buy Buy Baby and Baby Depot are just around the corner and the people at Albee’s and Planet Kids could not be nicer! The moron son of the owner proves that children of successful parents, no matter how unkempt and daft, somehow assume that they really have it all together!
PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SHOP (OR ORDER) FROM THIS STORE.

I wish I would have read all of the reviews on the different sites PRIOR to purchasing
anything from this store. While they do have a decent selection, the owners of this store are miserable, nasty, and greedy. I should have realized this on my first visit when the owners continued to speak poorly about all other store, especially if another store was offering similar merchandise at a lower cost.
Against my better judgement I purchased a Pali "toddler bed"/convertible crib from them as they already had the item in stock which was very important to us at the time. I was PROMISED this would be a perfect bed for my son who was 2 years old. Upon delivery I reiterated to the delivery men that I needed it to be set up as a bed....however, when they were finished I was left with a CRIB to my horror.
I called the store to see if maybe there was a misunderstanding. This caused a foul reaction by the owners which included screaming and cursing at me (final tip off that these people are running a shady business). Finally, after much debat the owners (female) mentioned she must have made a mistake, but how can I expect her to know everything. (I would think one of their most important jobs is to know the merchandise on display...or not to promise something.)
I had already gotten rid of my son's crib that morning so I was left in a very difficult position--which they knew. I was then told I owed an extra ~$80 for an addition piece which could be delivered in another week. When I questioned why it would be my responsibility to pay for the extra piece I was again YELLED and SCREAMED at (with every profanity they could think of) for about 10 minutes.
The delivery men were horrified and began apologizing as they saw how shaken-up I was, but did confirm I am not the only person this has happen to unfortunately.
Please do not subject yourself to their abuse. They are horrible business people, and I, nor any of my friends, will ever do any business with them again. I would honestly rather pay someone else double than give them another penny

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE. I was told that a glider I purchased would be assembled upon delivery. When I came home to find a large box in the middle of my living room I was understandably confused. I called the store to ask what had happened. I was told that they don't assemble without someone being home -- which seemed fairly reasonable, except that no one mentioned that to me when I purchased the item and confirmed it would be set up upon delivery. When I tried to find a solution (i.e. send someone back over to help a 38 week pregnant woman assemble a glider) I was basically cursed out by the store manager that that couldn't happen and that it was my problem and I should just deal with it. He proceeded to scream at me on the phone, passing me off to someone else and then then hung up on me. If you are looking for terrible customer service, look no further. SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK.

They take your money, and you can go to hell for all
