The music is loud, the drinks are cheap and the rockers are plentiful at this quintessential East Village bar. This is not the place to go for quiet conversation--and that's the magic of it. A big, roomy bar rests in the middle, with plenty of booths and tables surrounding it. In the back sit a number of pinball machines usually taken over by those who consider pinball a lifestyle, not just a game.

Its a running joke how many times we will hear Danzig's "Mother" on a normal night at 7B. That should sum it up for you. The bar is loud and worn, the clientele are locals and generally the place gives off that Thompson Square Park vibe that other places around the city just try to emulate. Sure the bartenders have attitudes, but just be cool with them, and you'll be fine. This isnt the meatpacking district, if you want to be pampered go to Tenjune and spend $500. Locals are treated well, alcoholics are treated well, douches are asked to leave. That is why I love this place.

The bartenders here are seriously awful. I would never ever give this place another dime. The girl that rmanages the bar is seriously immature and doesn't let in any attractive females because she can't handle the competition. If you're female and trying to get a drink, good luck. Her daddy gave her the bar, and she thinks she owns the world because of it. It's an obnoxious place - there's millions of cool places to go in the east village. This is not one of them.
