ENE GOT IT GOING ON!!!

Hi: I've been going to ENE hair salon about 4 years now and love their service. I've never been to a hair salon where my coat is taken right away and I am quickly offered water or wine. From time to time I write reviews online but usually prefer not to but after reading this past review of how ENE was a horrible hair salon, I felt compelled to write. ENE hair salon has wonderful customer service, their owner is extremely nice and friendly and their staff is extremely attentive. They are one of the few small latino owned businesses left in the LES and they are extremely authentic. If the owner talks about the work the salon has does for Africa, I think that inspiring to all of us. If people talk about their night life and love life they have a right to. That is what people do in hair salons, both the stylists and customers are building relationships and making the experience worth while. The products are also great. Their conditing does hair wonders. Over all my experiences in ENE have been pleasant and I've always recieved my monies worth. In my opinion I think if someone is as angry as they were in their review, they have to look at themselves and see why they are so angry period. Maybe you are just an angry person? ENE hair salon does nothing as horrible as described, nothing at all. If you are looking a good hair but and great service go to ENE!!!!

Is the East Village for You??????

realizing that times are changing......

The east village has definitely been bombarded with a whole new

wave of people that aren't from NY and def not familiar with the East Village..

There was once a time when real artists would get together and jam...

where poetry/art and fashion made true statements.

That was the east village, there's a bunch of new faces.... people that don't socialize

unless it's through the internet(dating) and people that even if you DO SPEAK ENGLISH

treat you like an immigrant ... it's funny im one of the few that was born in manhattan.....

usually in Salon environments it's not appropriate to talk about Religion/Politics and OMG S E X

But im constantly offended by ignorant people that generalize everyone!!!!!!

People come to the East Village to Socialize and to be stimulated in many ways they'd like to forget about in the morning ....basically that wasn't me last night that was the boozzzz

But if your interested in knowing ABOUT THE WORLD NOT JUST YOUR OWN! The east side is for you,

If your interested in being long term in the salon and our friend.....it's for you....

Take time in getting to know us we do mean well:))) We are not perfect but we do try

If this offends anyone please forgive me thats def not my intention im just speaking from

a place many could relate to and speaking for non English speakers

MARIA IS THE BEST

I am a regular client that has been going to ENE salon for about 2 years to get my color, trim, and a blowout by MARIA. She does such an amazing job that I could never trust anyone else any more to do my hair BUT HER. I never have to worry when i'm sittting in her chair. I put my full trust with her 100% because I know I will look amazing when I leave the salon.I have reciently been going on to this website since December, 2008 because I over heard Aisha and Nelson talking in spanish about a bad review that was posted on CitySearch and they needed to find a way to get it taking off. The person that has been posting those comments had to have posted them at least 3 times that I know of and they keep getting taking down. EVERYTHING they said about Nelson IS COMPLETLEY true. I LOVE getting my hair done by Maria but I HATE the atomsphere there. All Nelson does is constanly talk non stop and it's hard to relax when all you hear is him.I've actually thought about taking a risk and going some where else to get my hair done because I never feel like i'm in a salon when i'm gettting my hair done. I hate that each time that I go there, he pushes the fact that I need a manicure and that I should get it done before I leave. IF I wanted to get a manicure with dim lights, barely any color selection, and with someone that can barely speak english, then I would get it done.He just needs to stop pushing the issue. Now enough about Nelson.His receptionist and his apprentice are so plesent to me each time I enter the salon and each time I speak to either one of them on the phone.I couldn't ask for anyone nicer than them.The apprentice is plesent as well. She's always smiling, dressed to impress and also knows how to give a WONDERFUL head massage. The receptionist has such well manors, always happy with laughter, and she always offers me coffee each time I come to get my hair done.IF Nelson can just change his habbits then the salon would be 100% satisfying.GET YOUR HAIR DONE BY MARIA

• Pros: MARIA IA AND THE STAFF ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE
• Cons: NELSON TALKS TOO MUCH, TOO COLD IN THE SALON IN THE WINTER
