Great Tattoo Shop!. In 2007 i went on a quest to find the best tattoo shop in NYC and Inkstop was the place. The staff is very friendly and the place itself is comfortable and clean. They are expensive but its worth the money and also worth the wait. Eric and Jose are the best in my opinion. Jose has such creative artistic talent and Eric has such beautiful portfolios. I highly recommend this shop especially for first timers. I have two full sleeves which were done by Jose and Eric and im always getting compliments from people.

Pros: Jose and Eric, Best Talent In NYC

Cons: NONE!

First Tattoo - Exceeded Expectations!. I went to Ronan with a idea for a custom tattoo on my lower back. I wanted elegant, artistic, etc. and brought in a few examples to illustrate what I had in mind before he set about creating the design.

After about a week, I went in to see it and was absolutely thrilled. His concept far exceeded my expectations and the final design, which I had tattooed last night, was divine.

Being that it was my first tattoo, I wasn't sure what to expect. But Ronan was very patient and explained the process very well. His work is impeccable, despite my initial squirming under the needle, and the result has already scored rave reviews from my friends.

Inkstop is a very clean and professional place and I would 100% recommend Ronan as a skilled, capable artist.

Go to Nalla. If you are going to go to INKSTOP NYC make sure you get your moneys worth ($150 an HR)

If you have the time to wait 6-12 months for Eric then go to him but if you dont feel like waiting go to Nalla, his skills are very close to Eric's and he is the coolest guy there. DO NOT go to Jose. If you have something easy that is already drawn up, he is fine, But do not go to him for anything that requires artistic talent or imigination as he has neither. I never dealt with the other artists so I cant say anything about them.

3 out of 4. I have had two tattoos from inkstop. I love them. Very cool people. Its clean.but the place looks pretty plain. And one guy there always flake. The guy with the tattoo on his head in the front. I got my second tattoo with him. He rescheduled me three times. I almost didn't do it but I knew he was experienced so I waited. When I finally got the tattoo it was great. I wish he wasn't so messy and I wish more professional. It makes the whole store look bad.

Nothing fancy, just a classic old-school East Village tattoo parlor with skilled, enthusiastic artists.. In Short
In a city all about keeping on the cutting edge, sometimes it's nice to get meat and potatoes. Case in point: Inkstop Tattoo. Seems like every other ink joint around is now some kind of a tattoo parlor/art gallery/loft studio hybrid, but here you'll just get four walls and some skilled artists whose work has been featured on Fuse TV and in seemingly every tattoo magazine title ever printed. Okay, so it's a cut above nuts and bolts-but in a good way.

Hits
The sole focus on tattoos is refreshing, and the artists specialize in custom work-so feel free to bring your ink-stained ideas and hash out a plan.

Misses
Being a classic tattoo parlor, it encompasses the classic tattoo parlor traits: scuffed walls and a bit of a run-down feel. Clean freaks and Soho fashionistas steer clear.

Awsome Tattoo!. I got my first tattoo from Eric and I couldn't be happier with his work! I gave him a few ideas of what I wanted and I was amazed at what he came up with. It's way better than I even imagined it could be! Just to give you an idea of how awsome it is, my fam wasn't too excited about it initially, but when they saw his work they loved it. Even my Mom constantly wants me to show it off to her friends! Be patient for an appointment; it's well worth it!

Memorable Tattoos. I got a portrait done a month ago of my mother by Eric. I am very happy with it and it looks exactly like the picture I brought him. Family members can?t believe how much it looked like her and got emotional when they saw it. I?m already on the waiting list to add more around the portrait. Justin R.

Best NYC tattoo shop. I first went to Inkstop Tattoo in the Lower East Side 10 years ago. There were almost no Tattoo shops in the city when they were open. They made it this long in the city because they have a nice staff with no attitudes, they are serious about safety and the shop looks very clean, plus considering the high quality art, the prices are more reasonable than other places. I think with me and all my friends put together we have gotten over 30 tattoos from this place and they all look awesome, even the ones that are 10 years old. The one I got last week is the best yet. I recommend going to Inkstop for all your work.

not my pick. not much on decor (plaster white & neon lighting), the place (at the time) was busy (one couple in front of us) and the guy scheduling appointments wasn't too helpful. we gave him our design, he looked at it discouragingly and said he'll talk to the "the artist". this artist seems to be someone other than the guys doing tattoo and was not willing to work with the image we brought in (which just had to be sized down). i can't judge the talent of the guys doing tattooing b/c everything else before them forced us to leave.

User review by 52872c. I've had 5 of my 6 tattoos done by Kiku at inkstop & I can say nothing but amazing things about him! I went in with ideas & came out with tattoos better than I could have imagined! He even politely put up with my fussyness over the placement of them!

The only other person's work I've seen is eric's & he is damn good & all!

Although not much to look at, the place is clean, & the guys are professional, but fun at the same time! My 1st 2 tattoos there were walk-in appointments too which was great!
