Don't go there are better places around

Went there on Friday 12/17/10. It started off with they had no milk for theirs drinks. I ordered Ribs they had none, went for a cheddar bacon burger, no bacon. Got the new england clam chowder it was watery. so my friend and I both ordered burgers, how can you go wrong right. Well they were very salty and so were the fries. I guess the one thing they did have was salt. Won't be going back there again.

Absolute Worts! Overpriced

I do not recommend this restaurant!!! A friend and I decided to have lunch and got more than we bargained for. I ordered a cheesburger platter. While the burger was ok, I received a handful of fries (literally). My friend ordered the crabcake sandwich (that she didn't like) and asked for a burger instead. I returned My fountain soda (coke) and decided to order a root beer. About a quarter way in the the root beer I realized the tip of the bottle was broken. This is unsafe, but I simply asked the waiter to return it and I didn't want a replacement. Well they sent a replacement anyway (which I didn't drink) and charged me for it. Now on my bill I have the coke (that I returned), the root beer (that was chipped and I didn't want). After 20 more mins I inquired about my friends replacement burger and the manager told me that medium well burgers take longer to cook. Now this is a first for me!!! Unless most burgers are cooked rare. I would think a well done burger would take longer to cook. We were over our lunch time and I asked that they just take the burger off as she still had not recieved it. For some reason, this was a HUGE deal and took about 4 of the staff to discuss. Upon leaving I stopped the manager and asked her "do you realize that my root beer bottle was chipped and could have caused serious injury. Her reponse was that happens sometimes!!! I do not recommend this place at all!!

Pretty good southern food, AVOID on Workdays due to VERY slow service

I came here on a Friday afternoon (12:45) and was greeted with a throng of people waiting at the bar. We were able to ask to sit at the front on the small bar tables. Big mistake. There appeared to be only 1 waitress serving the entire restaurant. It was at least 10 minutes before she was able to assist us, and luckily, we were ready to order. It took another 20 minutes for the food to arrive. I realize that it was busy, but that kind of wait is a bit excessive for lunch on a workday.

After speed-eating our lunch, which was enjoyable (fresh fish and chips, calamari was flavorful), we got the check and waited 10 minutes to get change. So if you tally up the waiting, it was a good 40 minutes of just doing nothing. I recommend trying this again for dinner if you're not in a rush. Anytime you're in a rush, avoid this place.

• Cons: Slow service, long waits

An all around miserable experience

Dat's My Bait

When you look in the entrance way, you probably can only see people blockcading the bar area to the Live Bait. However, beyond the drinking crowd are tables to sit, tv, and music. The food is great, so two thumbs up to the chefs there. Also the service is pleasant, particularly Serena, I had to shout you out because your smile and presence truly makes the visit enjoyable.
