Cute atmosphere and exceptional food. Cute atmosphere and exceptional food. We had the caesar , edamame, shrimp, steak, salmon, chicken. The dishes were well assembled with great attention to how the flavors on the plate work together. Delicious! The wait staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. The cocktails are out of this world in my opinion, if you're into that sort of thing Nice wine list, too. I would definitely recommend this place, and will certainly go back.

Great Food. really liked this place. Great food, not all of it is for me but none of it was actually bad. Some dishes SHINE. The chicken was to die for. I would send people there for the chicken. Wine was perfect, it's not too pricey. what is there not to love?? I recommend to anyone.

Great wine and great service. My friend and I stopped in at Wined Up before going to a show. We were immediately seated and had excellent service. The wine by the glass selection is extensive and includes many highly-rated wines. We had a cheese plate which was delightful (as well as some other tapas) and the bartender was sure to keep the bread coming. As far as wine bars go this was great - good selection, reasonably priced, nice service, relaxed atmosphere, and tasteful appearance.

Great Food, Friendly Atmosphere. I really liked this place. It has a nice atmosphere and food was just great. I wish there would be more vegetarian entrees on the menu but still vegetable lasagna was pretty much satisfying. I also recommend string beans they?re deep fried but tasty. On the sweet side chocolate bread pudding with ice cream on the top is to die for. We also had chance to take a peek upstairs wine bar. It seemed like pretty cool place. They said we could also use dinner menu upstairs. I will definitely go back.

On a comeback. I have to say that I think this place is on a major comeback. This is a local hangout for me, and after a few visits early last year where it seemed the staff didn't know what they were doing with food and wine pairings, I gave it a shot again last week and things were WAY better. Staff were friendly and attentive, bartender before we were seated made an excellent recommendation on a light red that I had never tried before, and the server for our table suggested a dry white wine that matched both our appetizers and entrees perfectly. According to the hostess, there is a new GM who has apparently made some changes, and they are definitely good ones from what I could tell. Staff seems much better trained and more friendly than in the past, even though it was pretty busy the night I was there. Highly recommend this place for both food and wine. Shrimp dumplings are perfect, and their spicy edamame is great. One comment is that the menu is a bit all over the place, and I get the sense that the chef is a little overeager in trying to make everything so fancy and please every possible palate-- wish they would consider going more greenmarket/simple given their location just north of the Union Square Greenmarket. But honestly there was nothing to complain about this time. Definitely worth a visit, and I'm glad I can consider them another high quality local place again.

Great place!. Good people, nice atmosphere, fun, good food, great service. Nothing fancy, just everything you want whether you're there for drinks to wind down or for dinner. I would be a regular if I lived closer.

Romantic atmosphere and nice wines!. Very romantic restaurant especially later at night ...The wait staff is unfailingly friendly and polite even in the face of rude customers. The food is excellent and they have a nice collection of wines!!! My wife and I have been here for brunch, lunch and dinner and have always been happy with service, atmosphere and food.

Great brunch. I recently came here for brunch this past weekend. I was very impressed with how quickly i was seated. Especially on a saturday at 1pm. From the moment i sat down the staff was very attentive to our table. The freshly baked goods were amazing along with the bloody mary's. I had the salmon egg's benedict. The salmon was very fresh along with the perfect amount of Hollandaise Sauce. There were so many great things on the menu. Next time i think i may try Aged Cheddar Grits

Poor Service and long wait... I came here w/a group of girls for brunch and have to say that the wait for food and drinks was the longest I have yet to encounter. Service was terrible and management did nothing to make up for the fact that they messed up almost half the orders! Was a very dissappointing experience for everyone...

Give the Place a Second Chance?. Punch's menu feature American plates with common Italian, Asian, and Mexican offerings like risotto, ahi tuna, and quesadilla. The calamari was too salty and the exotic sounding accompaniments of banana chili sauce and wasabi aioli were unfortunately nondescript. The filet mignon, and truffled potato puree were equally disappointing. Where other dishes were lacking, the shrimp dumplings stole the show with a filling of shrimp, chestnuts, and green onions as if prepared in Shanghai with the perfect marriage of flavors -- surprising spiciness, with the simplicity of soy sauce. The place is dimly lit and relaxing. Framed art adorns the walls, and banquettes line one wall. Service was quick but the kitchen was slow.
