Expert boot fitting service

by kattydee

I just got back from a ski trip and can't thank the guys at Princeton Ski Flatiron enough for their expert boot fitting services. Neil fit me to a Dalbello krypton ladies boot, which I had never heard of and was a bit leary of buying. When I needed a half size larger, the manager called every Dalbello rep to find the exact fit for me and I can't thank them enough! I've never had a more comfortable ski boot in my life! The guys really took their time to make sure I was satisfied. I'm sorry that the Princeton will be closing! You don't get service like that very often.

  • Pros: Unbelievable customer service
  • Cons: Floors were too slippery for trying on ski boots

MANAGER IS AWFUL AND NEEDS AN ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASS (Roslyn)

by clavivage

I would give this store 0 stars if I could. Don't SHOP HERE. Their closeout liquidations are not that great. You can get better or the same deals at Paragon or online. I purchased 1k worth of stuff this weekend shoved into 7 different bags when I checked out. I didn't get around to unpacking the stuff until Monday night. I noticed my $200 northface jacket lining was missing and called them the following morning. I had unzipped it to try it on separately from the jacket and DEFINITELY had it at the checkout counter. Somehow it didn't make its way into the bag. I spoke to a manager who SCREAMED AT ME that all sales are final and that it was my responsibility to make sure that all of the items I purchased had ended up in the bag before I left the store. Well ummm no actually, thats the sales checker's job. Isn't the customer always right. I only asked them to look for it or to help me find a replacement to my missing lining. The woman continued to scream at me and then hung up.

UPDATE:

I ended up calling corporate and spoke to a person who works for Gordon Brothers (they acquired Princeton) He promised a call back the following day. First thing the following day I got a call from a different gentleman at Gordon Brothers who had been briefed on my situation, was extremely apologetic and offered to allow me to return the jacket since they were not able to find the lining that went with it. This is the type of customer service that I and all customers deserve and should expect from retailers. I returned the jacket without a problem and really appreciate Gordon Brothers stepping up and taking care of the issue in a quick and appropriate manner.

  • Pros: Big Selection at sale prices
  • Cons: Treatment by staff not worth the discount.

Princeton Ski Shop

Great Ski Shop in the Flatiron district!

Excellent customer service....knowledgable sales staff.

This shop offers all of the top ski and snowboard gear for the ultimate winter vacation!

I had a great experience at Princeton, the sales staff and management made me feel comfortable as I entered the store getting ready for a big ski trip to Colorado. The sales help suited me up to look good on the slopes. It is so nice to have a high end ski shop so close to home.

I would recommend this store for Skiers that take the sport seriously.

  • Pros: Customer Service
  • Cons: Rude Customers
