Jurrassic Park and Beyond

I think I was followed by the security who was black, b/c I'm white, weard. Well this place was crowded, long lines, noisy, and when I took one glass off the shelf all of tehm went tumbling together and broke all over the floor. I had to pay for it, which came to a fortune. They were martini glasses, which are delicate and break easily. I tried to stop them from falling, but power took me by my surprise. Expesnivce stuff here.
Undercovered cops are here believe it or not following you. They have camera's here monitoring every move and step you take. The curtains there didn't match my bed set color. The white fabrics on the sheets get stained easily. The crowds feel like a zoo like you just escaped Jurrassic Park. If you walk out shoplifting, the employees will press serious charges, especially if you are white. The canopy I got here broke.

take anything back, after any amount of time, no questions asked? I'm there!

This store rocks. Besides having a lot of choice and very friendly staff (hard to walk through the store without several greetings), their return policy makes the slightly higher prices worthwhile. I've bought things there and returned them 2 years later because they broke, or didn't work right, with no guilt, because their policy is to accept all returns no questions asked. A few days ago it occurred to me that instead of putting up with the Vornado fan that had gone noisy months ago, I could return it or exchange it for another. I didn't even have the receipt! Sure enough they accepted the return (although as they no longer carried that model, I had to take a store credit which I used to get the newer model they carried). I also twice returned a vacuum that kept breaking (the Shark, don't get it), and each time they took it back, no problem. Returns with receipts mean money back on my credit card (I always use one there to buy stuff). Now I keep a separate folder in my file cabinet for BB&B receipts.
Sure they might be a few more dollars than other places, and to save a few bucks you might not want to buy some things there like shampoo and batteries (go for Costco). But for housewares that might break some day this is the place to go (think expensive blenders, vacuums, water filters, shower heads, etc). If I could love a store this would be one of them.
And I have no affiliation with them. By the way, the store in midtown east (61st? and 1st?) is larger but obviously with the same policies.
- Pros: return policies, lots of stuff, now they do delivery!
- Cons: a bit more pricey, delivery is like 15 bucks extra (worth it for big stuff)
Convenience @ a price

BBB is definitely convenient, especially if youve recently moved and have a long list of household items to pick up. Their delivery service is great also, not too expensive - it's worth it if you're buying a ton of stuff. Downside is things are generally pricy, and for some reason I never get out of there with every item checked off my list, always something they don't have.
