One of my favorite places to shop. The deals are great and they offer good brand name clothing and bags.

For cheap people who don’t want cheap clothes!. TJ Maxx falls into the same category of discounter clothing stores that Filene’s Basement and Marshalls, occupy- they receive left-over clothes (when manufacturers overproduce or stores overbuy) from more expensive department stores like Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s, passing the savings on to you (about 60% discounted). All of the clothes are name-brand or designer, so for a low price, you’re getting expensive clothes. That matters, because, unlike many clothes made at those cheapo stores, the fabric is higher quality, and is less likely to fade and pill, and wind up being “wear once and throw away” fashion.

They have a huge selection of trendy, high-quality leather purses and shoes, and great home accents, such as aromatic and artisan candles and pillows as well. They have a large lingerie section, and also tend to carry a lot of Spanx-like body-shapers, and under-garments.

Clothes tend to be organized by color, which is helpful. TJ Maxx has thousands of new items delivered every week (department stores tend to only buy seasonally), so you never know what you’re going to find when you go there. If you don’t see something you want one week, stop by another week.

TJ Maxx - Fashion on a Budget. Just went to TJ Maxx today and I was SHOCKED that the line was super fast on a Sunday afternoon! I love this place, and get deals on everything from wine glasses to men's socks, but at least 20% of the time I'd have to abandon my cart when I saw the LINE snaking into impossibility. Seems like they've hired more cashiers, at least for now (I was there on a weekday recently and the line was bearable too). Thank you!

If you don't spend $1000 a week on clothing, don't know what a metro card is and only eat off gold flatware. You shop here. I love TJ Maxx. You can find a lot of randoms here. When I need some cheap Skull Candy headphones, hair clippers, candles and laptop sleeves I come here. They always have it here. They have a good selection of sunglasses for real cheap. I go here often to check out the sales. I suggest you do the same.

This TJ Maxx is pretty stellar. It's probably one of the largest I've ever seen. Their shoe department goes on for aisles and aisles, and there seemed to be a lot of options. Their dress department, too, was very large. I've never seen so many medium sized dresses in one place.

Even though there were a lot of people, it didn't feel too crowded.

Popular fashions and hidden designer gems at this discount clothing staple.. In Short
Though not luxurious, this discount clothing chain offers convenient shopping and fantastic deals. If you look really hard, you'll manage to find some expensive brands mixed among the more mass-market names: DKNY, Calvin Klein, Laundry and Theory have been known to populate the racks.

Patience Pays Off. Forget about trendy boutiques--if you're looking for great home accessories, kitchen gadgets, or the perfect last-minute birthday gift, head straight for T.J. Maxx. Shopping here takes patience, so be sure to set aside at least an hour to find the best merchandise. These stores are enormously popular in New Jersey, and I'm thankful to have one right here in my own backyard.
