best wedding experience :) – I have to say that I don;t understand the negative reviews here. My experience was very pleasant. I was looking for bridesmaids dresses well under the $200 mark. Simply becuase my bridal party consists of moms, students, and some that are not working right now. I went to RK and thread before them. RK has rock bottom prices but their customer service is horrible! No one speaks english except for when you pay at the front. The dresses are dirty and dingy and if you mess up your measuremnts your screwed. Take my advice fellow brides.it's not as easy as it looks to measure yourself! Thread gowns were nice but way overpriced at well over $300 per girl. At here comes the bridesmaids I chose dresses by watters and watters. The quality is beautiful for the price and discount I received. And to top it all off, the dresses are cocktail length and can be worn again. I went on my lunch break one day and a sweet girl at the desk helped me start a file and then I came in with my5 girls the next day and ordered. I highly recommend you try this store.
Terrible Experience – Please, spare yourself the drama and go anywhere else but here! No matter how far in advance you make (and pay for your order) they wait until the absolute last minute to place it. If anything goes wrong, you'll never have time to fix their mistakes!
Amazing Selection – This store may not be the high fashion 5th Avenue boutique you might long for, however it's absolutely the best store to get your bridesmaids dresses in. You really need to put it in perspective....RK Bridal will not give you the time of day.....no one else will even bother to measure you. This little shop is a true NY gem...get your dresses there.....Happy Brooklyn Bride
TERRIBLE measuring!! – Our bridal party purchased our dresses from Here Comes the Bridesmaids and the whole experience was crowded and very rushed. After we had chosen the dress, we were quickly measured (with our clothes on) and escorted to the desk to pay. Once we received our dresses they were all way too big, resulting in over $100 in alterations per person. The tailor confirmed that we were mismeasured, which added unneeded frustration and costs. Overall we were unsatisfied with this store and would NOT recommend it to other bridal parties. :(
The best customer service, and the most beautiful dresses – First of all...the ladies that work in this store have more wedding knowledge than anyone else I've met so far! They are so helpful and really cater to you during your appointment. I have 12 girls in my bridal party! The girl on the phone suggested that I first make an appointment to come in with several girls first to get an idea or by myself. Its nice to get a look at the dresses by yourself first to get your color scheme etc.
I've been to RK bridal and received no help at all. If your a bride that wants a one on one consultation with a bridesmaid consultant. and want to be thought of as a bride not as commission like RK come to this lovely boutique!!!
I brought in a picture of the dress I wanted and although they didn't carry it, the sales ladies showed me a dress that was by Alvina Valenta and it was even better!
And I don't know what this website is talking about them charging more for larger sizes! They don't do alterations!
Brides take my advice...go to this store and experience how lovely the service is and it's nice to go to a store that makes your girls feel important! :)
Pretty designer bridemaid dresses in a sadly unpretty store. – The Scene
Don't expect powder-pink walls or a cup of mint tea at this completely functional, basement bridesmaid shop. Even an appointment doesn't ensure personal service, or ease the anxiety caused by a tense, bickering staff and an anything-but-upscale environment that includes stained carpets and slipshod dressing rooms. The bride may buy her dress at a chic boutique, but her friends are stuck with argumentative salespeople, harrowing tactics and dregs of decor.
The shop does offer a handful of designer dresses all in one place, including Jim Hjelm, Dessy Creations, Lazaro, Nicole Miller, Watters & Watters and more. Dresses are sorted by designer not color, with helpfully descriptive tags (style number, size, price, et cetera). Gowns are generally in good condition, and copies of recent bridal mags lie about for browsing.
Terrible service!!! – I ordered my 5 bridesmaids' dresses here and was VERY disappointed with the service I got - if I were doing it again, I would DEFINITELY go somewhere else. The store is small and organized in a rather random manner - the dresses appear to go by designer, but are not organized by color or style or anything. The prices are comparable to other bridesmaid stores, although no one really knew the prices of the dresses (1 lady told me 1 price, then another lady told me a COMPLETELY different price). The sales people pressured my bridesmaids into ordering bigger sizes than they needed which ran up the costs of everyone's alterations. WORST OF ALL, they never shipped 1 of the dresses and lied to me, telling me that my bridesmaid had wanted to pick the dress up (clearly not true, since she lives in another country). They called 2 weeks before the wedding to tell me that 2 bridesmaids dresses were still in the store, which really put a squeeze on the time to get them altered. Now I am having to transport a bridesmaid dress with me because there i no longer time to ship it and get alterations done before the wedding. I HAVE NOTHING POSITIVE TO SAY ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE!
Horrible Customer Service – Great selection of dresses but all my directions related to delivery and shipment were ignored causing additional stress, time, money - one big headache! Can't get simple straight answers and forget about them acknowledging their mistakes. Can't believe they are still in business.
Sloppy Service – This place has nice dresses but rude, sloppy service. I got measured for a dress there, and it seems as though they purposely measured big so they could do alterations and charge for that. I went home and measured myself and was 2 sizes smaller!
Wonderful! – I'm a bride who is wearing a bridesmaid dress, I went to a much larger store and then to Bridesmaids. They were wonderful! Gave me individual attention and didn't stiff me with a special 'bridal charge' like other stores (Vera Wang for example) do if you don't want to wear a traditional bridal gown at your wedding.
Plus they sent me to a wonderful tailor for my alterations!
