I just went through all this trouble trying to remember the name of this restaurant I went to on my birthday a few years ago. When I finally found Maroons I went to the website to find out that they just closed Jan. 2009!!!

Horrible Customer Service and extremely long waits...

I went to this place because i LOVE soul food. My girlfriend saw it walking buy and since it was packed she thought it would be a good place to try. We decided to go this past Saturday night. We arrived at 7:15pm and were seated at 8:45pm. Very long wait, but in my mind i was hoping the food made up for it. It took the waitress about 15 mins to even come take our order. We ordered and appetizer and 3 entrees. Our entrees arrived an hour later and our appetizer arrived as we were finishing our entrees. I ordered fried fish and received baked fish instead.

My girlfriend however, did order the fried chicken and mac and cheese and they were AWSOME! I will go back one more time on a weeknight and try the mac and cheese. I will come back and let everyone know my experience then

Hmmmm

I came here for a friend's birthday with a rather large group (about 12 ppl). We made reservations and were about 15 min late, lucky for us they were willing to honor our reservation anyway. the only bad thing was the bar area where we were to wait wasnt big enough to fit all of us so we had to wait outside in the rain. But wen were were seated, drinks were given right away, but another down side was it took forever for the food to come. But the taste and portion made up for this. I reccomend the BBQ chicken with macaroni pie. Small establishment but great food.

• Cons: very small place, long wait for food
