If you haven't been to Cafe Loup and listened to Junior Mance, you haven't lived. I just found out from the owner that Junior Mance and Hide Tanaka will be there all summer on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It is very rare to enjoy great food, great jazz, and great service in the same location. You will not be disappointed. The best part is that there is no cover which is rare with this international Jazz Musician.
Pros: Jazz and food
Cons: The bathrooms are small, yet clean. What's more important...size or cleaniness.

Never have i had such a wonderful Sunday evening eating at Loup and hearing Junior Mance play at the same time. We had perfectly cooked soft shell crabs,rib-eye steak with an intense bearnaise sauce and an air dried duck that was"old school" yummy. Plenty of local vegetables,great service and the owner-chef's constant presence at the door. If he's not there then she is (Ardes) . Sean kept us laughing and it is no wonder that they've been around longer than most. Great,great food with great music-this never happens in NY. Lloyd is one those rare unpretentious owners who really cares about each and every person as long as their money is green.
Pros: no cover reasonable drink prices and wines-beautiful art collection the real deal
