The Scene
An old-school party-line trove, Revolution Books is what you'd expect: a stark store run largely by volunteers. Providing Marxists (or Maoists or Leninists) with newsletters, discussion groups, author events, pamphlets and yes, books. But it's more wide-ranging in its subject matter than its ideology would suggest.
The Goods
There are books on ecology and the environment, health and Native Americans, and even a kiddie section for aspiring radicals. Visiting revolutionaries or resident aliens will be at home here. French-language books are available on--among other topics--the oppression of women; Spanish-language filosofia; and Marxist classics are for sale in languages ranging from Turkish to Chinese.
