Shockingly Shallow

Honestly, I ordered a sympathy basket to ship to California from a DA's Office when one of our co-workers lost her father. The Basket was $129 and I put it on my card and collected money for it. I received a call from an employee named Steven who told me they don't ship fruit to CA. So, I asked if they could switch the basket to one without fruit which was $10 more and just take $10 of product out. They told me they would charge me $50 because if they had to take stuff out it would be a "custom basket." I reminded them this was for a funeral. They did not care. I told them I spent over $500 sending baskets after Hurricane Katrina to displaced friends. The guy says, "fine, we will take the fudge out of the basket." Cause it would hurt you to float a couple of pieces of fudge to a grieving widow and her two children. If I ever get that money hungry, soulless and shallow...

Very cool selection of varying items (food, wares, knick-knacks, NYC stuff)

Frequently you'll catch a sale or 10.

For example, 2 for 1 on a certain potato chip brand as well as 5 for a dollar shortbread cookies.

Cheese selection is actually better than you would think -- for having about 15 cheeses, would you think English cheddar could be found?

Very reasonable selection of CMB branded bags (for example, $12 for an insulated lunch bag).

Attentive and happy staff! This is of course close to the 10th Ave side of Chelsea Market.
