TriBeca's best Florist by far. Our daughter's wedding was magnificent thanks to Grayson one of the owner's of Prudence Design and his creativity and understanding of what she wanted.

My wife being a true perfectionist was very demanding of all vendors for our fabuloius "NYC" style wedding held at the new "360" venue next door to the TriBeca Rooftop.

We were seeking elegance and class, while still wanting to be unique.

Prudence Design knocked it out of the park.

While everyone remembers the band and the cocktail hour, most peoples comments in addition to the beauty of the bride, were "wow, we never saw such a beautiful room and beautiful Hoopa" (spelling?)

Both my wife and I only wish we had another daughter so we could utilize the Prudence Design skill set again real soon.

Now we have to wait for our grandson's Bar Mitzvah.

We just hope Prudence Design will still be in the business

Beautiful wedding flowers. We decided to elope while on vacation in Manhattan. Whilst we only had a few weeks to do our research, I was able to take multiple contact numbers with me. Once we arrived I rang around and you can imagine me explaining the whole elopement and that we needed the flowers that day etc etc! It was a bit of a nightmare until I called Thomas. I gave him hues and flowers that I preferred but pretty much left it open to him. I was unsure what would arrive but was so pleased with Thomas's helpful nature on the phone and it wasn't over priced. Much to my excitement a beautiful wedding arrangement arrived and matching bouquet for my maid of honor and lapel pin for my husband. It looked liked I'd spent hours in the shop picking everything out! Thank you Thomas for answering the phone that day and how lucky I was to stumble upon such a wonderful florist!

The Best!. After shopping around & around the city for the prettiest arrangements with the best prices as well no place came close to Prudence! Thomas O'Laughlin was a pleasure to work with - I felt like he understood the mood we were hoping to achieve for our party and helped us to explore the options within our budget. Our flowers were impressive and really gorgeous! If you're searching for creative flowers with great customer service, I happily recommend Prudence Designs.

Avoid Thomas O'Laughlin. I chose Prudence because of their reputation for distinct bouquets. I worked with Thomas O'Laughlin to arrange three deliveries as part of a wedding gift.

The first was a pre-arranged bouquet, corresponding to the wedding flowers.

The second bouquet was massively disappointing. I left the flower choice up to him but had requested something creative. I'd written this, " I'm into seed heads, dangling amaranth, allium blooms..."

He sent blue and white hydrangeas. EIGHTY-SEVEN dollars in total for blue and white hydrangeas?

I wrote an email expressing my disappointment with hydrangeas, feeling they are very common, and asked to have the flowers for the third bouquet run by me in advance.

This morning I get this:

"I am refunding the balance of $87.10 for the November 13 order.

Sincerely,

Thomas O'Laughlin"

That's it?

So let's get this right: You are BAILING on the third bouquet we'd already had arranged and doing NOTHING (discount, or, um, apology) for the one that I didn't like?

Someone's gotten a little too big for their britches.

Would not have trusted anyone else with our flowers!. We were so thrilled with the flowers at our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We got married under a gorgeous and unique candle-lit curly willow arch, delicately interwoven with white flowers and scattered white butterflies---people are still commenting about it! We were on a fairly limited budget for some NYC standards and really shopped around. Although we found lower estimates, after meeting with Thomas of Prudence, it was clear that although this may have been a little higher priced than the others (although still reasonable,) there was no question that we would go with anyone else but Prudence. Not only is their knowledge of flowers and level of taste of the highest standards, but their ability to listen and translate our desires into reality was spot on. Thomas spent an incredible amount of time with me (even walked through the flower district selecting exact flowers a week before the wedding,) my family and working with the wedding venue to make sure everything ran so smoothly. The Prudence staff stayed at the wedding, through the cocktail hour, to make adjustments and to make sure that everything was what we wanted. When you are putting so much of your efforts and thoughts into planning that "one big day" it is their level of conscientiousness and attention to detail, and knowing that we could trust our florist that was so important to us. The entire Prudence staff was not only so pleasant and easy to work with, but, most important to planning an event, we always KNEW we could trust them and that they were going to make everything just right...and they did!

Beautiful Florals, Wonderful Staff!. We worked with Thomas to design the flowers for our June wedding. He was wonderful, not only because of his great taste in design, but also because he actually listened to what I wanted in a floral arrangement and then created exactly that! I got so many compliments on my bouquet, the bridesmaids' bouquets, the centerpieces, and even the tablecloths (which Thomas selected). We couldn't have been happier with the way our decor turned out!

Another plus is the fact that everyone in this shop was kind and accommodating from day one. And even though wedding planning can be stressful, Thomas is a very calming influence - exactly who you want around on your wedding day.

If I were planning another event, Prudence is the first place I would go. (Thanks, Thomas & Prudence!)

Absolutey The Best. I was introduced to Prudence through my wedding planner and from the first meeting I knew that this was the place. The staff is so wonderfully friendly and so amazingly talented! Prudence designed all of the florals for my wedding after a quick meeting with the team at prudence they were able to put together a sample of one of the floral designs and they absolutley nailed it! So tasteful and beautifully done it really was everything I could and couldn't even imagine. Highly recommend this place!

Beyond our expectations!. We had our wedding this past weeked at Tribeca Rooftop, and Thomas designed the decor. Prudence truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Thomas was great fun to work with, reliable, and had great ideas. Everyone repeatedly commented on how elegant and chic the space looked. I cannot recommend Prudence highly enough and will use them again in the future. Thank you so much!

Gorgeous arrangements!. We worked with Thomas for my daugher's NYC wedding and his style and choice of flowers and color arrangements for the season was extraordinary! Prudence worked with in our budget and a trip to the flower market was a special treat which really allowed us to customize our arrangements/decor. We would happily use them again!

Everything you're looking for. I worked with Thomas for my wedding, and he did a magnificent job! The flowers were OUTRAGEOUSLY gorgeous! I can?t say enough about how obsessed my mom and I were with the job he did. It was beyond beautiful. And of course all the guests were extremely impressed. First of all, my bouquet was the most amazing thing ever, and looked so perfect with my dress. His ability to know what will work for your particular event becomes obvious when you see the final outcome. So as a wedding veteran, let me say: do yourself a favor and trust in him! Stress about other stuff; don't stress about this. He listens to what you want and then makes it truly fabulous. When we got to the event site, I was overwhelmed by how sensational the room looked. The colors, the combinations--just beyond expectations, more beautiful than I could have imagined. I am forever grateful to have found Prudence Designs, and will definitely use them for all my future floral needs.
