I've been to trendier, pricier stylists with far less fabulous results. After three years, it only gets better. Short cuts are tough to pull off. Every flaw is magnified as the cut "grows in" -- Len's cuts last six weeks, and stay falwless throughout. And he manages to create real body in my very, very fine texture. Great Salon. Was having one of those days where I needed my haircolor fixed like .... RIGHT NOW! So at the recommendation of a friend I made an appointment with Tina at Chris Mitchell Studio. I am always a little hesitant to make an appointment with someone who isn't booked out days in advance, but I had a special occasion on that night and really really needed my roots and a bad haircolor from my old stylist fixed.

Tina was amazing, did a great job of the color and gave me an awesome blow dry.

Have been back since, have finally found a great salon where I can get in without a weeks notice!

LOVE this salon. I am a low-maintainance hair girl...but this place makes me want to go more frequently to get hair updates!! Price is reasonable for the quality of service and cut you'll get in NYC. Everyone here is SO friendly and nice--from the girl at the front desk, to the girl who washed my hair.

I chopped off 9 inches of my hair, and it could have gone HORRIBLY wrong. Instead, I was SO happy about the cut. I was glowing as I got down from the chair, and I literally bounced down the street with my hair flowing in the wind. Tina did an AMAZING job, I love it. She even managed to fix my out-of-whack bangs, which is a hard feat.

I've gotten nothing but compliments for my new 'do, and I've recommended this place to everyone! I'll definitely be coming back here.

Chris Mitchell team and Thom. Thom is a fantastic person to work with. He knows my hair personality and how to get the best result. My experience is enjoyable with both Thom and the entire team. they are friendly and fun to experience.

HOT HAIR BY LEONARD!. Hair is a sensitive matter - even for guys.

You want somebody that you can trust 120%, that is consistent and will give you a cut that suits your face and personality.

Well, look no further - I have found him...LEONARD GOLINO!!!

Len is amazing. I have been his client for many years, which speaks for itself.

He is part of a great team in the Chris Mitchell Studio- an absolute pleasure to come here. Everybody is friendly and upbeat.

So in case you are looking for a new hair guy, make the switch to Leonard - you won't regret it.

Thom gave me an amazing cut. Thank you, Thom! I ended up getting my hair cut with Thom by default (long story), and ended up the happiest I've been in years with my hair.

He listened to everything I said, reassured and checked with me along the way to make sure I was happy with the length, and did EXACTLY what he said he would do and exactly what I wanted. I love my hair. I went about 5 inches shorter and am thrilled I did. You have a new client, Thom!

Leonard is AMAZING!!!!. All my life, I've had issues with my hair, which is fine and limp. I've gone through many stylists, none of whom have ever REALLY figured out how to cut my hair in a way that lifts it up and gives it volume. Well, not until I met Leonard. He has such an incredible talent to cut hair--not only will you look like a million bucks when you walk out, but your cut grows out beautifully, so that you don't have to go and get a trim every two weeks. An important factor, at least to me.

But it doesn't stop there: you'd think that if he is great with my type of hair, he won't know what to do with the curly bush that requires a weed-whacker. Wrong. Leonard will make everyone look amazing, no matter what your hair issues may be.

In addition, he is a master colorist and my guess is that whatever your needs may be, he can make you feel like a supermodel by the time you leave his chair. I get asked all the time who my stylist is, and I don't ever hesitate to send them to Leonard. Who, by the way, is a total sweetheart to top it all off.

Twenty thumbs up to Leonard--I hope he will NEVER, EVER change profession or move!!

consistently great highlights. In my opinion, Leonard Golino does the best color in the city, hands down. I get blonde highlights from him that give just the right amount of pop, yet still look natural. And not only is his color fantastic, you also get to spend a couple of fun hours in his company!

I've strayed from time to time, but always come back, because he's just that good. I really can't recommend him highly enough.

I fly from LA every four months to go see Leonard!. I have been going to Leonard to get my hair done for the past seven years. Now that I've moved to Los Angeles, I fly back specifically to see him. He is phenomenal at coloring (I get blonde highlights, but he's had to fix my red mistake and other mishaps that happen when I temporarily stray from him). He is also extremely talented at giving me the perfect haircut for my "barbed wire librarian" personality. I am hoping Leonard means sexy eccentric nerd by his description. It is always a pleasure to get my hair done because Leonard is hilarious and fun to be around. The salon has a chic design and feel to it and everyone who works there is very friendly and welcoming. I highly highly recommend this salon, all because of the genius, Leonard Golino.
