“(I've often seen uptown folk coming this chelsea gem just to get a shot of modern, tasty style) I've never walked away disappointed, i actually get compliments not from just women, but men.”

April is a shear genius.
I've been to innumerable salons in NYc over the past 15 (or more!) years, but April has a way of cutting and then styling my hair that is above and beyond. I have never left there without feeling better than when I walked in - emotionally as well!
I have had more people ask me who cuts my hair over the past several years than I can say.
I trust her completely, love the vibe and her staff.
GREAT haircut from Liliana.
Recently got a haircut from Liliana at Suite 303 and I LOVE IT.
It's stylish and practical and perfect.
The atmosphere is super welcoming and Liliana was extremely helpful when I asked for pointers on styling my new haircut.
Arrogance at its finest. Huge disappointment, huge waste of money, and huge arrogance. Went directly from the salon to another top salon and had the mess rectified. Guests at the Chelsea Hotel should be forewarned,,,all attitude and no talent!
April Barton "Genius".
For years I have been having my hair cut by "the best" until I met April. All I have to say is NO CONTEST!!!! That girl is a miracle walking. She did for my hair what no other supposedly great stylist did. Please do not listen to any negative comments b/c I grew up in the beauty parlor business and the most important thing in my life has been going to get a haircut.
I think she is above anyone I have ever gone to and she is so sweet and caring. I love my hair so much, I can't stop looking at it!!! I am hooked, thank you April.....
April and Suite 303 is the best!. I LOVE going to Suite 303. April's been cutting my hair for 3 years and you couldn't pay me to go anywhere else. The color is always perfect too. It is so worth it. Try sitting in her chair and letting her go with her vision for you. She's an artist and an innovator. Thank you April!!
Great vibe. Me and my girls had late day appointments on a saturday. The vibe is relaxed and fun, Not only did our hair look awesome they had us in such a good mood we were ready for our night. Thanks to April and her friends our New York experience was a blast!!!!!!!!!!
DEFINITELY NOT SHEAR GENIUS.
have had my hair cut by april a number of times...every OTHER haircut was "pretty good" which for the money is unacceptable..but so hard to find a good curly hair cutter...., (btw...price changes all the time!.)..
well...the last hair cut and color was the worst.... a $10 supercuts haircut, at best....when i went back to have it fixed, i got a lecture as opposed to an apology..a level of arrogance unjustified by her talent ,or lack there of....not a clue as how to style curly...and the whole edward scissorhands
approach to cutting is RIDICULOUS!!!..
DEFINITELY not the rock start that she thinks she is...
STEAR CLEAR!!!!!don't let the whole chelsea hotel thing lure you in...every time i would go there would different staff....certainly says something about the way she runs her business....BAD!!!!!!!!!!BAD....BAD!!!!
Hah! Found her..
i was seeing a stylist at suite 303, her name was stephani and was bummed when she left and i couldn't reach her. it's a rare thing to find someone who cuts my hair right, as well as i really liked her on a personal level. imagine how unhappy i was to call the salon to find out she was no longer there, and when i asked if they knew where she was the receptionist actually said 'i don't know, i'm only a receptionist".
yeah, so much for a live person at the desk.
anyway, thanks to a lil' google in my life, i found her at ion salon in soho...if anyone else is in the same predicament as i was, you are no more!
april barton... I met april when i was in a crossroads in my career..I fell upon her salon when I was about to give up.. I tryed out for her and did well, but she had other people to build there. I understood, but that day that I met her is forever in my heart. It was pooring oyt, i wa able to get models for cuts. I was tired , hungry, but I was so impressed by her and her energy was amazing. She showed me some cool things to do, and she welcomed me into her sweet, that day. April showed me that eventhough she has a funky high end salon, she was so nice to me. She didnt act like she was better, or act like some narcasistic hairstylists that I had encountered on my journey for a new home. She is truley inspirational; in many ways. I am glad I met her and I still stop by once and a while to say hi.. Miss you april.. Thank u jill
Best hair cut EVER. Mariano is just AMAZING. He is the master of the cute pixie short hair cut halle berry looking style. Professional, fun and a joy to be around. No-one else can do what he does. And to top it off, the salon is in the most amazing Chelsea Hotel... perfect!
