Deep Tissue Massage at Chelsea Piers. Had my first DTM and it was a pleasant experience. I booked an 80 minute treatment. When I arrived I was given a robe and thin rubber flip flops. Though I had my own I took it anyway. I thought they were adorable. :) They also provide locks for the locker, but I already had my own. I was told were to enter the spa area. It was very nice and serene. I was offered a beverage of tea or water. I didn't have to wait long for my therapist. He was a very knowlegable, attentive therapist and kind as well. He paid attention to me regarding my injured areas and after the treatment he took the time to give me advice on how to improve different problem area. I would definetely do another massage at Chelsea Piers.

Great manicure/ pedicure!. There weren?t a lot of reviews about this spa, so I was nervous to try it. I was so pleased with my service that I almost feel bad for doubting it! Heather and I were brought into the manicure area right away, no waiting. I can?t remember our manicurists name, but she was very polite, friendly and did a great job. We were the only people in this room so we were able to read a magazine, chit chat a little and basically relax. After a week of hoofing it through NYC, my tootsies needed a good massage. My French manicure and pedicure looked great and the pedi lasted for two weeks. (I type all day and waitress at night, so my manicure maybe got 4 good days? Not her fault) I was disappointed that I didn?t have my workout gear with me, the gym was calling my name! They had so many machines and they all looked updated. The shower area was very accommodating and clean. Highly recommended!

Do Disappointed, I wish I could get my money back. Our expierance was lackluster. I was upset right off the bat when we went to relax before our message and we waited in what looks like a waiting room for an upscale doctor. The parade of therapist that walk through and actually hang out waiting for their next client is ridicoulus; oh, the kitchen is in that same room so you can get the relaxing sound of dishes banging. They only had a pitcher of water, 3 selections for tea and trail mix. All I wanted to do was put my feet up and close my eyes and enjoy the treat of the day.Couples message; the room was nice until someone continued to wash dishes outside and I couldn't relax anymore; my girlfriend loved hers, but me not so much; not a message to "write home about".Facials;AAHHH where to start. Well first, my girlfriend has a very fragial nose after she broke it and told her therapist when she touched it that it hurt. The therapist continued to say " you will survive". When I saw her after our treaments, she was crying, she said she cried through the whole treament. This is not acceptable, she has had facials before and has walked out with a smile ear to ear. My facial on the other hand wasn't has bad, complaired to others that I had I feel that they do as many pre treament before trying to pick at my face, because of this she pushed extremely hard on my face and four days later I have scaps on my face, to put it over the edge when she put a mask on my face so I couldn't open my eyes, I could hear her open the draw and start clicking away on her cell phone!!!Meni, Pedi.. this was the best part of the treatment! The staff was funny, socialable and just amazing at what they did. They really lightened our day!The spa seems like a total after thought to Chelsea, the set up is miserable. We had lunch included in our deal, it wasn't good and you eat with gym members. I paid $750 for our day and I wanted to cry too, it was a disappointed of a present and wish I could take it back and get something else of her.

JASON BEST FOR MASSAGE. I must say the reason i am giving this 4 stars is because the treatments were really great. Jason gave me an amazing hot stone massage and I highly recommend him. However, if you are looking for a relaxing day at the spa, this is not it. Its, well, Chelsea Piers Sports Complex. Not a spa with common areas to mill around and relax, as may others are. There are just treatment rooms and a sitting are to sip tea. Nice but not a SPA DAY experience if you're looking for it. If you want to use the pool, jacuzzi you have to wear a swimming cap and dodge the speed swimmers doing laps. Also you have to walk through a VERY busy common area in your robe to use the pool jacuzzi, definitely akward.

This Chelsea Piers spa is small-ish in size, but big on service.. In Short
Spa clients check in for their appointments in the sports center lobby, but get a relaxing treatment instead of (or after) a punishing workout. Tucked behind the locker rooms, the Spa at Chelsea Piers promises to rejuvenate and relieve city-dwellers' stress. Services include waxing, manicures and pedicures, massages, and five facial options. The spa also accommodates couples and group parties. For the ultimate experience, consider the Royal Treatment, a day's worth of pampering.

Great place for a special event. My sister is getting married in April and, of course, I wanted to throw her a party to celebrate her engagement. She loves spa treatments and the Spa at Chelsea Piers seemed to be the perfect location and environment for the party. While other spas tend to rush guests in and out because of a lack of space, the Spa at Chelsea Piers provided an entirely refreshing experience. We all received complimentary use of the amazing Sports Center, a locker for the day and access to a steam room, sauna and hot tub. There were 5 of us in total and we spent the day enjoying the Sports Center, basking in the indulgence of our mani-pedis and relaxing in the sauna. If you want to pamper yourself (and your sister!), I highly recommend the Spa at Chelsea Piers.

GREAT spa experience - COOL PLACE!. My friend and I booked massages, manicures and pedicures at the spa at Chelsea Piers and had such a fantastic experience. The staff was welcoming and very helpful, the whole facility was so clean and our massages were amazing. One of the best I have ever had (and I have had many!). One of the best perks of booking a treatment of $75 or more at this spa, is that you get a free day pass to the chelsea piers health club on the day of your appointment. I didn't bring my workout gear that day, but my friend did and was able to take a pilates class before our afternoon at the spa! She said could stop raving about it!!

Not Fancy...Yet Satisfying. After sifting through many different reviews on NY day spas, my partner and I settled on the Spa at Chelsea Piers. We didn't want a "fru-fru" ladies-oriented spa and were glad that we picked the Spa at Chelsea Piers. We had massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. The nail techs are very nice and engaging. The pedicure stations make you feel like you're sitting on a throne...soaking your cares away in the bubbling water. The massage therapist did a great job on loosening up my wrists and arms. The only drawback was that the "free weight" area is above the massage rooms and the "muscleheads" drop the weights resulting in heavy thudding sounds. The staff said that this problem was to be remedied with the free weight area being relocated to another area of the gym. The locker room is exceptionally clean. Overall this is a good spa for men.

NOT what I expected. I read great reviews about this spa; so I booked a massage which was way below average. I got 10 minutes late and they cut my treatment time almost 20 minutes. Regardles, if the 30 minutes massage was great I wouldn't complain but it was nothing extraordinary.
