Extremely Helpful!. I've worked with Taylor Hodson twice within a 3 year period, and both times, after multiple interviews, I received a job offer and accepted. This means that, during the recession, they helped me land 2 jobs.

The first one was not great, but there's really only so much that any of these recruiters, from any agency, can know about what they're sending you into, and Taylor Hodson really tries to help you find the best fit - you just have to be completely honest about what you're looking for (I wasn't in this case - I was new to the city and willing to take any job that came my way). The second position is where I'm currently working and the company is expanding rapidly and has their foot securely in their particular industry.

All in all, I would say that Taylor Hodson is a great choice for finding a job. They've landed jobs for friends as well. You have to understand that they're finding jobs for large and small companies, and part of your job as a candidate is to know what you're looking for and help them weed out what you don't want. Sure, it's annoying that you have to wear a suit and you're told to present yourself a certain way, but EVERY recruiting agency is like this, and first impressions do matter to a lot of people.

Definitely go with Taylor Hodson!

Temporary Work. Taylor Hodson was so incredibly helpful from the start and their staff is great to work with. They brought me in for an interview and almost immediately I began working through their temporary agency. Their recruiters genuinely want to help you find work that is best suited for you and go above and beyond to get you working. I personally was only looking for temporary work in between an internship and moving however I referred multiple friends, all of whom have worked temporary jobs for Taylor Hodson and one of whom was hired for a temporary job that is set to turn permanent in a few months. The agency allows you to work in various areas and has great relationships with a wide range of companies who have come to expect the best from Taylor Hodson. Taylor Hodson fully prepares you for the jobs they place you in and is a great agency to work for.

Courteous, Professional, Fast & Gainful Staffing. I had recently graduated college and relocated to NYC when I first met with the team at Taylor Hodson. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly which helped calm my nerves into my interview. Their conversational interview style allowed us to learn about each other on and off paper. Being able to establish a mutual understanding and genuine feel was very important to me. I met with several members of their staff in my 45min-long interview, and I left with absolute confidence that the Taylor Hodson team would match me and my ideal employer.

This was exactly the outcome because they only work with reputable and well established businesses. Within a week from my interview I was placed in a good-paying (on NYC standards) temp-perm position.

My 1st placement through Taylor Hodson was brief and only because this particular employer could not sustain my position long term. Even in this situation, the employer and I continue to maintain regular contact and they’re still vested in my ongoing success and potential permanent hire if and when possible. After, I was again quickly placed in a very satisfying position with more opportunity for advancement than the last. I have always received my pay on time and in full. My relationship with the Taylor Hodson team is approaching 2-years to date, and I sincerely recommend them to all particular, serious and ambitious job seekers with experience levels from entry/intermediate to advanced. Work is like a second home, make it a good one that fits you. Taylor Hodson is a great help with this.

Taylor Hodson, Inc. = AMAZING!. After being unemployed for two months, I decided to get serious about my job search. I looked up the top Temp Agencies in NYC and came across Taylor Hodson, Inc. I sent them my resume and within an hour I received a call. I went in the next day to meet with my recruiter, Legare, who was/is absolutely amazing (and so is the office space!). Two days later, I got an interview and instant placement with a top-tier company in midtown.

I’ve been at the same company for over six months (and possibly longer) and I couldn’t be happier. Even if I don't get hired permanently with this company, I've had a great time, learned a lot, and met amazing people. I correspond regularly with my recruiter about how I’m doing and when I go to the office, everyone is so friendly.

I was so pleased with my experience with Taylor Hodson, I referred their services to a close friend who also had a great experience with them. It meant a lot to me that when I needed help the most, I had people on my side who were genuinely working on my behalf. I can’t emphasize enough how grateful I am for Taylor Hodson and what they’ve done for me and will continue to refer them to anyone who may also need their excellent service.

Front for the Sharon Gans Cult. This is a front for A Psychopath named Sharon Gans. Minerva Taylor & Cynthia May, Suzanne Griffin and many of the other employees at Taylor Hodson are involved in this cult where families are destroyed, children are forced to be given away and sexual and emotional abuse runs rampant. The cult has been in existence for over 30 years.

Just Google . Sharon Gans/cult and see what comes up..the leaders of this group Fred Mindell, Greg Koch, Minerva Taylor, Cyntia May all are followers of gans who "teaches the work'...Only problem is she is a FRAUD who never studied....STAY AWAY!!!

Fair & Friendly!. Although I am not finished in the process of finding a job as a recent grad. Taylor Hodson and my recruiter Caitlin have been an excellent asset in my search. No where did anyone promise me they'd find me a job, and I don't expect them to. Their responsibility is to their CLIENT WHO PAYS THEM. Its in their best interest to make you the most attractive candidate possible and to successfuly match a candidate up with a company so that the COMPANY is happy. If you don't understand this you will wind up disappointed. Even if I dont find a job through them, I recieved excellent help with my resume, interview coaching and overall "grooming"

Its about Return on Investment people...your investment is the time, I spent almost a whole day with them... the risk is they dont find you anything with the possibility of a reward of a job/job leads, and PROBABLE "grooming" unless youre totally incompetent & unprofessional. TOTALLY WORTH IT. Just because you spend time with them does not mean they owe you anything, thats just not going to happen especially in a market with a surplus of labor.

It is the onus of a candidate to do any and all follow ups and be able to take a hint.

Staffing agencies should not be relied upon but used one tool of many in a job search.

I have had a negative experience at another staffing agency, which totally rubbed me the wrong way. I did the follow up and was promised a call either way. then was discounted because I didn't show interest... I honestly had no plans to harass them when i felt like i was in the final stages and PROMISED a call. Then I have to play it off like a miscommunication... when I'm actually totally PO ed

Using that as a comparison, Taylor Hodson has been honest and delivered to my expectations.

Let's Keep It Factual Shall We?. Personally speaking from my experience with Taylor Hodson, I too, was never contacted AT ALL! Grant it, their reasoning probably will be that I did not fit their job profile, however I still deserved the professional courtesy to be told that rather than waste my valuable time following-up with them. I would have been perfectly happy to move on.

I do not believe for one moment that my employment profile did not match their job criteria otherwise I would not have been offered jobs (with the same skills/experience and job types) that I applied for with Taylor Hodson. I am an Administrative and Corporate/Special Event Professional with over 15 years of experience under my belt, I know when I'm being brushed off or my favorite, told I'm overqualified!

I totally get it, if an agency does not have a job position that fits your skill set, education or experience, they cannot invite you to apply for certain jobs. However, it is still considered professional and respectful to contact someone in order to make them aware of these circumstances. Also, make an ATTEMPT to actually find a job that their skills are better suited.

Now, if this is an agency that specializes in a particular industry or profession and your job experience is not a good fit, then I would totally understand that an agency would not contact you BUT not AFTER having a conversation with you regarding your ineligibility to apply for their job openings.

There seems to be a standard of unprofessional practice that is executed at various employment agencies, not just Taylor Hodson. Most employment agencies are usually too busy to contact or follow-up with individuals who are not qualified or just don't contact at all, no valid reason given. With that said, what makes an employment agency stand out from the rest is not only their ability and willingness to actually find someone a job but who will go out of their way or work hard to MAKE SURE that you find employment...PERIOD.

My question is: Why bother to waste people's time if you're not willing to do the work you make a promise to do? People come into your office fully expecting to spend an entire day of proving themselves professionally to you by way of filling out applications (some of which are 20 pages long), testing, interviewing with staff and other orientation processes.

SO, if you know that potential employees are willing to go through all of your processes and tests upfront, I feel that ANY employment agency should deliver on their end as they promise to do. We are all adults here and don't believe that anyone is justified in wasting someone's time because you feel someone is not qualified. If you are unable to fulfill your obligations to any prospective employee because they are unqualified or inexperienced: BE HONEST ABOUT IT and stop wasting people's time. Until you do, Taylor Hodson among other employment agencies will continue to receive unfavorable reviews such as these.

Why? Time is a valuable commodity that cannot be wasted because it can never be replaced. As someone who championed Taylor Hodson's reputation, we are in difficult and perilous economic times and every minute that we spend attempting to find a job is crucial!! If you're not the agency to help, then please allow me to spend my time with an agency WHO WILL and has the CAN DO attitude to go with it! More importantly, I'd rather work for an agency who actually CARES about me as a human being and not consider me just another dollar sign or commission earned.

Contrary to your beliefs, this person actually worked for an employer who considered them to be an asset to their company at one point and elsewhere this person may be an asset to another agency, just not yours. This does not give you the right to make these people feel any less than they do because they are unemployed and unable to support themselves or their families.

Great agency that cares. I just moved to the city about three months ago, and Taylor Hodson was such a great help in finding a job. Not only did they keep searching for me constantly, but even had me come in their offices a couple hours before interviews to prep, and even helped me redo my resume until it was perfect! I just signed up for citysearch so I could write them a good review. They really do care, and as a result, I found a permanent placement with them in one of the worst economies, and in about 3 months time! They are great, I recommend them to anyone. Very professional, very nice people.

Not Honest. Come on, if you cannot find someone a job, just tell them. Do not praise them, introduce them to 5 people, and than never return their calls or emails. These people will meet with anyone if you are not already in their system. Remember, if you do not land a job, they do not get paid. So when a client calls them, they have to have like100 candidates already screened, in their system, and ready to contact to land that person in the job before some other company does, if client is not an exclusive client. And, if you are not happy with the recruiter you are working with and want to work with someone else, they do not care.

They do not respond to phonecalls and emails and you are just another resume to them. They have no clue what you are looking for career wise and do not care. Why the hell anybody uses them and pays them their huge fees is beyond me. Come on companies, wake up and find candidates yourself instead of relying on these headhunters/agencies who only care about getting paid and not your needs or the worker's needs!

Director of Temporary Staffing. Mochafrappe,

Harsh words. Taylor Hodson has been in business for 21 years and I assure you that our recuriters do not recruit by "quota". Temporary work is dependent on the market and we're in a tough market right now. I wish you the best of luck with your job search. Please feel free to call me if you would like to discuss your situation.
