I've been here twice and neither time was anything fantastic. First time was for dinner- the food is ok, its not too authentic but its not bad. Service was good. Price was a little steep for the quality. Second time was for appetizers and drinks on Cinco de Mayo. Place was much crazier. Service was still good even though they were very busy. Food was still ehh. It was a fun setting though and they had a lot of drink specials. I can think of several other Mexican spots where the food is much better and the prices are cheaper so I don't think I'll give this place a third try.

Pros: Good margaritas, convenient location

Cons: So-so food, prices should be cheaper for the quality you get

This is a really FUN place. Anytime, lunch, midweek dinner, weekend...a very lively, FRIENDLY place. It's not a "fancy" upscale restaurant, but the casual, welcoming atmosphere is just what is often needed after work or with a bunch of friends on Saturday. The food is quite good and the prices are very reasonable by New York City standards. All the staff is very friendly, the bartenders are notably personable and fix some great drinks, listening to exactly what you want. As with any popular place--and this place is--when they are busy, they are busy and if it takes a couple minutes longer to get a drink or more chips at your table, then that's what it takes. But the staff friendliness and attentiveness overall is top notch. This is on my list as a "regular."
