“The reason why I think Barolo is the best Italian in NYC is because they have the best combination of great food /wine list with an expansive, elegant , understated ambiance.”
“For dessert, a flourless chocolate cake was exceedingly dry and not very chocolate-y; a pistachio torte was also dry and lacked any flavor resembling pistachio.”
“Food was fantastic and wine list formidable (but Renzo the Sommelier guided us through it and helped us make selections).”
“If you want good service and a classy meal definatly go to Barolo.”

“Would make a good place to take a date except the food and service wasn't that great.”
“Their beautiful garden is opening next week and I will definitely be back- can't wait!”
“The staff was very attentive, the food was great and the wine list was impressive!”
“Unfortunately it was too cold for us to sit outside on the huge terrace last night, but we will definitely be back as soon as it gets warm enough.”
“Yesterday I stopped in for a quick lunch and asked the very nice bartender if they could make me their mixed green salad but with grilled chicken.”
Beautiful garden area. It's beauty will blow you away--the lighting and decor is so elegant! Very romantic and perfect for date nights. But it doesn't stop there. The food is amazing too. I'm a big fan of their rigatoni all buttera because i love the spicy sausage!
now i'm hungry. just thinking about barolo's food! lol. and the wine selection! so many to choose from!
restaurant week. finally made it to barolo this weekend for restaurant week! started with the mussels, which were in this amazing spicy tomato sauce, got the sirloin for my main entree. cooked perfectly and came with great potatoes. definitely finished off the meal with the creme brulee which i must say is one of the best i've ever had.
Classy place. Somewhere you take a woman you want to impress, for sure. The decor alone is enough to "wow" her. The authentic and unique food combined with their extensive collection makes it a stand out place.
quite tasty. i'd actually been here once before a few years back and remember it being not too great, but thought i'd give them a second chance cuz my date swore it was great. they musta redone stuff or something cuz it was wayyyyyy better. they have a really beautiful garden area that will blow you away. i ordered the rigatoni alla buterra and it was fantastic. the sausages were the perfect amount of spicy to balance the sauce. definitely will be going back way sooner than before.
mangia!. that is what you will be doing all night at barolo.their rigatoni, their milanese, calamari...i could go on and on. i did that night!
Hands down. some of the best italian cuisine in the city. I took my parents here when they came to visit (it's actually where I met and proposed to my fiance...not in the same night lol). One of those places that can be romantic when you want it to be, but also has a party element.
New fave spot. After a long day of shopping in Soho I was very glad to have found a great restaurant like Barolo. Was so hungry and tired it was nice to sit down and relax with a glass of wine and good food.
Awesome food!. I really mean that. Every time I go to Barolo I find new dishes that I like more and more than the previous one I tried. it's one of those places.
outstanding meal. wasn't expecting to have such a great dinner. we were in the area and starving after shopping all day and stumbled across barolo. got their roasted chicken and risotto yummmmm.
