Dear All, Stay Away Spent years. Dear All,

Stay Away Spent years shopping at Calypso St. Barth mostly via online until May 1, 2012. Enjoyed shopping their until I telephoned the Customer Service department and had a discussion with a woman who should definitley NOT be in Customer Service Department.

Thanks to this horrendous employee I will shop elsewear and spread the word to all my friends on the East Side, West SIde of NYC. It takes one employee to ruin a business. It only took $126.00 for me to wake up about where I spend my money. I do not patronize stores where the help is horrible. Let's see where Calypso is at the end of year 2012. Good luck!

It is a matter of time before your profits reflect such.

Go for something unique. I love Calypso and Calypso Enfant. It's like a candy store, all the brilliant colors and variety. If you need something special to wear, and want to look a bit different without looking too "out there," this is a great place to go. Very boho chic, and the salespeople know the merchandise and can help you find the right look. They're also super friendly.

You wear black, all day, every day? This is not your store. You hate frills of any sort? Don't go here. You enjoy being a girl, thankyouverymuch, and you'd like to do it with a little multi-culti flair? Come on in! Calypso is the brainchild of Christiane Celle, who wants you to wear cheery colors year-round and get girly.

The Goods
Caribbean-flavored gear that'll add a bit of beach to the urban jungle. In the summer, pick up a woven plastic tote and a sarong. Come winter, the hats, scarves and mittens are always in the most cheerful of colors--all the better to match with the sorbet-hued coats.

I've found my new favorite store!. As my dad and I walked around the little boutiques on Mott St. we almost passed this wonderful store. My dad's been in here more than once and was surprised at forgetting it. I walked in and the people were pleasant and very helpful! It was a great change of pace to see the vibrant colors as opposed to the dreary greys and blacks of the boutiques near by. I scored a great shirt and skirt that would help cheer up the usual winter wardrobe. Even the store was lively! We went back twice to buy some gifts and there were awesome sales! For everyone who said the clothes were over-priced they're worth every penny and the people were very charming!

Not New York Black. The clothes are fun, colorful AND affordable. The skirts go great with your everyday basics and make you feel good to wear them. Great sales at least twice a year, too.

Like the colors. Everything in there's the perfect antidote to the blacks and grays some people still insist on wearing.
