A fashion label lies within this strange little store.. The Scene
"What is this place?": A question we have asked ourselves many times while cruising Mott Street. A Detacher looks almost like someone's very neat apartment, with all the low shelving, rocking fuzzy chairs and one small rack of clothing. But everything's for sale, and there's some interesting stuff here.

The Goods
The A Detacher line of clothing is no frills and to the point--all neutral colors and natural fibers cut into wearable shapes that look arty and unique. Also scattered throughout the store are little objects, great for gift-giving or to satisfy those "I just want to buy something" urges. Find sweet hairpins, coffee-table books, hand-knit scarves and hats, groovy modern bowls or small glass jars. Incongruous, but cute.
