Calling All Fashionistas. I thought I'd found the promised land with the Ina women's store on Prince Street. Then I found out they had ANOTHER STORE on Thompson Street and I made beeline right over there! Wise choice. Anyone who's familiar with the divine pleasures of the Prince Street store will find more of the same over at Thompson Street. Manna from heaven! I love their variety of top designer labels - everyone you could possibly think of: Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Manolo, etc. And the prices are brilliant. Everything is priced to induce visions of credit card-busting spending sprees. I was really tempted to forgo a month's worth of rent when I went in there. Luckily I didn't do that, but it's possible. I can't imagine why the entire fashionista community doesn't just mob this place on a daily basis, but I'm happy to keep it my little secret for now!
Such a Cute Store!.
The headline says it all, ladies, let me tell you. I'm a fiend for consignment/vintage/used clothing stores, and Ina is right up there.
First of all, it is such a cute store! Nestled away in the middle of Thompson Street, it's a cozy size that allows for an intimate shopping excursion, if you're into that kind of thing.
And because of it's size, it never gets too loud. Music levels have to be kept reasonable, which is a big factor for me, and people don't get too loud, also a big factor.
Obviously, though, you don't go clothes shopping because of the square footage or the acoustics - you go because of the clothes, and Ina delivers in that department. Their clothes are SO AWESOME! The quality of items is excellent: just like new, little-to-no wear-and-tear, very high quality. I bought a Chanel halter dress that was TO DIE FOR - SO CUTE!
Oh, and the staff? So fun and smart. They have such good attitudes, which are hard to find in Soho, so that was a breath of fresh air.
Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, etc. Whatever you want, I'm pretty sure they've got it!
Designer consignment at its very best, with nary a runway-specific costume or moth-eaten cowl-neck in sight.. The clientele includes Nolita girls on their way home from brunch and quiet, unassuming solo shoppers who never thought they'd actually be able to afford fancy dresses that do "Day-to-Night Barbie" duty. Relax--no one's going to elbow you out of the way to get to the racks. You're not going to find gently-used, lovingly-tended designer clothes at these prices anywhere else. A staggering variety of shoes, including scads of Miu Miu slides, plus lots of Prada, Sigerson Morrison, Gucci and Manolo Blahnik are available, too.
Great Store!. What a wealth of finds! This store is a hidden treasure, and new clothing seems to come in all the time. I never miss a chance to stop by.
