This bar is underachieving. All in all I like this bar. It's literally an under ground lair so you kind of feel like you are disappearing for a bit which is cool.

They don't do buy backs and the bartenders seem to want to play their own iPods which is too bad as they have one of the internet juke boxes where you can pretty pull up anything you can think of. Just as an FYI, Beyonce isn't really drinking music, you know?

Re: the buyback thing I don't quite get that. Everybody wins. Patrons feel the love, bartenders get bigger tips and the owners get repeat customers.

On the other hand, Happy Hour prices rock and the bartenders a cute and friendly for the most part;.

I would only go to this bar if someone else chose it to hang out otherwise I do not reccomend this bar.. Well I'm beginning to think that the bartenders have never heard of a buy back...I bought several rounds of 4 or more drinks per round and not a single buy back. I don't like how the jukebox doesn't play songs by itself if no one has put money in it. I think there should always be music playing whether or not people are putting money in the jukebox. If they wanna here something specific they'll put money in it but otherwise just let go on random. The drinks are relatively cheap and so is the bear. That being said, the bartenders poor light on the mixed drinks, takes a lot more drinks here to get buzzed than it would at another bar. The crowd is pretty good I suppose, nothing to complain about there. The pool table works fine but the dart boards are ugly and so are the score boards.

What happened to the old ale house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. This place was the pits. The owner never cracks a smile and if your not a regular the bartenders aren't nice. This place used to be fun. The place was sold and these new people don't know how to keep things fun!!!!!!!!!!!! What a dive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this neighborhood, where else can you find $3 drafts from noon to 7 everyday???. I don't know what the previous reviewer was smoking but the bartenders (especially Nicole) are by far the best part about this place. This gal pours a mean Guinness/Jameson's combo like no other!

These ladies are friendly, courteous (so long as you're not a dick/bitch to them) and an absolute dream to deal with. Treat them like YOU want to be treated and you'll have no problems from them or the regulars (like myself) who regard them as extended family.

If you're a sports nut, they've got a bunch of flat screen TVs to watch the games on, a plethora of menus to order in for your pre/post booze munchy fix, darts to hurl at a back wall and a pool table in front to hustle your closest friends into buying the next round of drinks with! What's not to love about this place?

So ignore that ignorant troll and drop by the bar for a pint or two today!

Dump just like the bartender. Hosebag bartender Nicole likes to show other people's men a good time and she's not even good looking. Get on her good side and she'll give ANYTHING for free.

good jukebox, pool table and darts, assortment of draughts, Nina. This is a clean, pleasant place to have a few drinks. The jukebox has a wide variety of tunes. It has a pool table up front and darts in the back. There is a wide assortment of draught beer and the prices for beer and drinks are very reasonable.

In my opinion, the best part about the place is a bartender named Nina, a young, beautiful Italian American woman. She is playful, bright, fun and pleasant to be around. She has a terrific figure and very pretty eyes. If your lucky enough to go when Nina is bartending, you're sure to have a good time!

nothing special. Cheap beer - that's about the only good thing about this bar, and I only go if my guy friends drag me. Even the dart boards are awful - so old they barely hold the darts.

Local flavor and dart games beneath the street's foot traffic.. In Short
On touristy MacDougal Street, this brick-walled, downstairs dive keeps a relatively low profile. Its eclectic crowd--blue-collar workers, neighborhood residents, NYU students and bridge-and-tunnelers--come for the pool table, dart board and Galaga/Ms. Pacman game, as well as for the laid-back vibe. Guests can choose among 12 beers on tap, 12 bottles selections, and a full bar, which offers daily drink specials.

Are you kidding?. HA! This place was horrible, maybe if i was a brown baggin local who can bring in beer from the street it would be cool. there's just no vibe and the pool players just suck that go there. i'd go for a laugh.
