Best find in New York City...will be back!.
I made a reservation on a saturday night for me and my family. The place was very busy, they had live flamenco with an incredible guitar player.
we had few delicious starters to share; mozzarella burrata special, calamari and bruschette.
I had a gorgeous filet mignon with spinach mash potatoes, my kids had fresh gnocchi and spaghetti , my wife tried the homemade fresh ravioli...simply delicious (she is Italian and she felt totally impressed).
The service was extremely gracious and attentive like I never experienced in my all life (the waitress was helpful since the beginning and the italian manager was very friendly and constantly present throughout the all evening )
I will be back!
Wonderful find.... We randomly found this place walking around the neighborhood. Had a wonderful lunch. My husband said his buffalo burger was the best he's ever had. My pizza was fantastic. Great wine menu and atmosphere. Very hip! Can't wait to go back when we visit NY again.
Good Food, Nice People, Nice Live Music.
I went to Boom 2 Weeks ago on a Wednesday Night.
It was great to find a lively place on weekday offering live music and good food.
The Band played some not so uptight jazz, and included a great percussionist, a mean sax player, a guitarist, and keyboard player. The music included some standards and some not so standard pieces in the complex it was very lively and different from your typical restaurant jazz band. During the break, a girl came up and sang some lovely Brazilian songs.
The waiters are prompt and attentive and the crowd was a lot of fun to watch. I had a blast and I will be back.
Boom is a Gem in SOHO. Live Jazz, Indian, Moroccan and other interesting fusions of original music with No cover charge! Boom is so amazing for a fun night with amazing Italian food, wine, beautiful women, nice staff and high level musicians! I have been checking out guitarist, Nick Russo & vocalist Miles Griffith with tabla and percussion on Thursdays (Jazz, originals & Indian Ragas), trumpeter/vocalist, Solade (original grooves) on Wednesdays and now they have vocalist, Malika sometimes on a Tuesday doing Moroccan music & jazz. The atmosphere is warm, friendly with a 'party' vibe towards the end. I always meet new people when I go there...everyone is very open! Check it out when you are in SOHO.
How can you screw up cooking pasta. The gnocchi were so over -cooked they were mush and the special which was orrechiette with broccoli rabe and sausage was terrible too. In this case the pasta was so under cooked, and they served it with broccoli, not broccoli rabe as advertised.
love love love it. this place is so fun and fabulous, the cutest waiters, great food and drinks, even better atmosphere. they went out of their way to get me the prime seat in the house, next to window where you can people watch, and they checked on me every two seconds. waiters are all super cute and friendly with even cuter accents. food is fresh and delightful. tad expensive. you wont mind.
Mixed Feelings. Went there for lunch on a Saturday and the place was about 3/4 full - which if youve been there, isnt that much. Its small and narrow so you would think the wait staff would be more attentive seeing as how they only have roughly 3 tables and have to walk by you to get anywhere. Wrong. We were never told the specials - had to ask for our own drinks twice - couldnt even make eye contact with our waiter when we could actually find him - were never given olive oil with our bread like all the other tables ... very disappointing. Food was average - good. I had the Hawaiian French Toast and was pleased with it - I think I might have had better things to say about it had the service been better. The place is definitely warm, dim and cozy though.
Ultimate in Relaxed, Stylish Eating. The atmosphere is relaxed and playful. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, especially for the neighborhood. Go with friends. Go with a date. Whatever you do, just go now and go often!
Good Old BOOM!. What can I say about a place that I have been hanging out for about 5 years. I guess I love it because I can't seem to stay away from here. You should all check it out when you are cruising SoHo. Very well known joint!
Friday nights. Go on Friday nights. Though the hip-hop was the standard hits, it got people dancing on the floor and on the tables. A good youngish crowd with a good ratio of girls to guys. Get there a little early to get a table and prepare to go home with someone you didn't come with.
