Nice Local Place....Very Tasty South French Cuisine.
Went there twice this summer. In July, happened to be Steak Night - tender and flavorful (skirt or hangar, can't remember) - also had cod brandade and mussels. Delicious, and the mussels were tender in some kind of green parsley-garlic sauce (not pesto).
Went again last week, had a salad with lobster in it, another cod brandade, a great fish soup (almost like a bouillabaisse), and then chicken-livers (!) prepared as nuggets, provincial-style. All great, and affordable. The gals dining at the next table were raving about some chicken with apricot and cider reduction - it looked good to me, too. Now I have a local French joint I'm comfortable in.

Amazing French Cuisine. I've been coming here for years and Chez Jacqueline is by far the best french restaurant in the city. I've tried several others but keep going back to Chez. The staff is very friendly and always welcoming. Highly recommended!

Fine French Dining! Awesome Wedding Party Table!. Chez Jacqueline is the best French restaurant in New York City. My family and I ate dinner there and we were a party of 30. They have this excellent large table that fit us and would have fit as many more as we wanted! The service was awesome and the food even better! This is the perfect restaurant for any large party or special occasion and seems quaint enough for even the coziest romantic dinner!

Yum!. I went to Chez Jacqueline last night and it was sooo good!! The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly I will definitely come back!!

Simply Wonderful. I ate at Chez Jacqueline a couple weeks ago and loved everything about it. The services was very quick and the stafff was extremely pleasant. As for the food, it was one of best among French restaurants in Manhattan. Highly Recommended!!!!

Best French Restaurant in New York City!. I just ate at this Restaurant last night because it is only a couple blocks from my house and i was blown away. I thought I was eating in France. Even the waiters had accents and the feel was very authentic. I felt like I was back in Paris as I was last year! My girlfriend loved it and it is now on our favorites list!

Mussels better than in Belgam!. Great as always, excellent mussels, excellent steak on Wednesday night..warm atmosphere, friendly service and reasonable prices. I recomend this hangout place...

Great find!.
I went here last night with 10 of my closest girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted nicely at the door and a comfortable table was waiting for us near the window.
The waiter very helpful with the menu and he made great suggestions...we took alot of small dishes and shared some main courses. Everything was so tasty...must try the grilled calamari (best I ever had!)
The owner offered us a complimentary bottle of champagne...nice touch.
After dinner we had a few cocktails at the bar and made some new friends. It was truly a birthday to remember and I will definitely be coming back soon.

Not the best service / OK food. We went to this restaurant for our friend's birthday. It was a Saturday night 9:30 PM reservation. We were THE ONLY TABLE at the restaurant! We were given very little time to look over the menu as we were rushed to order. The food was just OK. The service was not great and when we ordered desert, around 11 PM, we were given dirty looks since the kitchen and the restaurant were closing. Not a great experience. There are many other French cousines that have much better food and service!

Not as good as it was. The food used to be a lot better, it seems to have lost it's special appeal. The service could have been less snobbish
