WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ate there tonight and halfway through dinner the hygiene inspectors posted notices that the place was closed because it did not pass inspection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one told us and we did not notice until we were done with our food!!!!!!!!!! Our waitress let us eat all the food, along with the rest of the staff. It was not until we had finished that we noticed that the place had been closed because of hygiene reasons! They insisted that we pay the bill and we insisted that they called the cops! Finally, the cops came and they took the food off the bill. It does not matter!!! THEY LET US SIT THERE AND EAT THE FOOD THAT DID NOT PASS HEALTH INSPECTION!!! SICK!!!! What kind of people would do that?!!!! I am so disgusted with this place, the waitress, the manager, and the owner that would hire people that would let people eat food that could not even pass a health inspection!!! I am disgusted! Do not eat here! The drinks were horrible as well!!!!

inattentive! bland! rude!. It took 10 minutes for someone to ask "has anyone helped you yet?" The bad service continued throughout our tasteless meal. His beer (Sam Adams draft) was room temperature, the guacamole was bland tasting more like avocado flavored mayonaise. His beef quesadillas were boring and in the center was more of that avocado mayonaise which didn't solve the flavor issue at all. MY boneless buffalo tenders were good...the sauce was really good actually and the portioning for the price was decent. My house salad, however, was a joke...shredded lettuce with TWO slivers of tomato and TWO thinly sliced pieces of cucumber and a meager onion slice in the middle. It was like $7+ for this....i'd get more salad ontop of a taco! The check was impossible to get.....and as we were pulling out our money a pigeon from the fire escape above went #2 down my hair, on my jacket sleeve, on my arm & hand and possibly a little in my beer I was holding and about to finish. No exaggeration when I say ALOT of excrement. I stood up asked a server where the bathroom was and said what happened and pointed up (apparently my seat was the only one not under one of the awnings but under a fire escape where a dozen pigeons congregate, i didn't realize when we sat) and the server pointed to inside and walked away. I clearly needed a napkin right away but instead had to walk through the dining area with obvious bird excrement on me. The entire patio saw this as did everyperson I walked by. This was humliating! The manager refused to do anything and didn't even apologize for the servers lack of action. Apparently "Senior Swankys is not responsible for nature"!!!! I understand "pooop" happens but have a little more concern for your customers and don't let people sit under a pigeon nesting area! There's nothing swanky about this place!!

Swanky's WOWED me!!!. A group of friends of mine wanted to go and have some drinks and they said they heard of a place by the village named Senor Swanky's and I said HELL NO! And they gave me this look like I was crazy but I told them why I didn't like the place and again they gave me the crazy look. One of them said when was the last time I was there and I said once was enough but push came to shove and they wanted to really go so i gave in. When I got there I started to sweat and my friends just laughed at me so I went in and to my surprise this place has changed not so much the decor but the place looked clean even the bathrooms were clean and the staff looked new the uniforms looked great and the waitress were good looking as well. We lucked out we got one of the good looking female server, Judy and she was great with everything. The food was ok but the drinks were great a lil pricey but its New York. There were even shots girls there giving away soco and lime shots. I was really shocked especially since my last experience here but Senor Swanky's has really stepped up. Keep up the Good Work!!

beats maragritas,,,,and best outdoor cafe. Fun happening and great place to drink lots of yummy margaritas and get your fill of great mexican food......and sit outside and people watch..i am an native new yorker and my friends and i love swanky's////great drinks ...great music...overall great time...lol....i love to sit on the patio...and drink all afternoon and watch the show as it goes by...lol...

Worst Service Ever. My friend and I went to this place recently and it was the FIRST time I almost walked out on a bill. We sat at our table for 10 mintues before getting a MENU, (keep in mind there were only 4 other tables in the place with customers-it was a Monday night) and then it took the waiter(who was ON SOMETHING) 20 minutes to bring over drinks. I ordered fajitas, which were pretty tasty-but anything with guacamole tastes good to me, and he forgot to bring the tortillas!? When I looked around the place to find him, he was at the BAR doing a SHOT with friends!?? Who does that and doesn't get fired??! I didn't see a manager anywhere. On top of that, we asked for our check 7 times before he remembered to bring it over and he brought us someone else's check! It was one thing after another. I would have just walked out, but my friend has a good heart and paid the bill sans a tip. Do yourself a favor; AVOID this place at all costs.

Horrible, Avoid at all Costs. I went there to celebrate my birthday with a few friends. First, since we were more than a party of 6 (there were 7 of us) the waitress had us sit outside, where it was freezing. Then, we were lied to about the price of drinks and were told that we could get the bar specials outside. After ordering food, we waited over 45 minutes for it to come. It was disgusting. I ate 2 bites and that was more than enough. Waitress took 20 minutes to calculate the bill and added a 30% tip to the total. $12 margartias were a suprise to everyone at the table and the manager was rude when asked about the drink specials that we were suppost to be able to get at the table. Apparently you can only get them at the bar. Disgusting bathrooms and very drunk patrons as well.

I guess that's why the food is so cheap ?!?. I've always wanted to try this place because it looks fun from the outside, they've been voted best margarita & frankly cause of the name ! So we went on a Wednesday night after work & it was empty. The inside is very neighborhood bar which i liked & it had a happy hour w/2 for 1's at the bar. The margaritas are good but luckily I ordered them without salt because the chips & salsa are way too salty. So we sit down to order food & TWO minutes later it's brought to our table. I couldn't believe it was cooked that fast ?! After trying it I know why. I have to say the food was not the best & I actually LIKE eating at Taco Bell on an occasional late night ;) It tasted like nothing was made fresh....it was definitely all canned or pre-packaged food. Oh well....such a shame.

What celebrities hang out here?? Oscar the Grouch?!. This place was dirty. The services was terrible and I must say we got better service and meals at ChiChi's and they are closed due to bad tomatoes. Please!! How does this place stay open?

Taking Mexican food to new lows. The place was dirty, the staff and patrons were in and out of the bathroom and clearly under the influence of something, and the food ... sweet mother of god. "Rank" describes it. Smelled bad. Looked bad. Tasted bad.

We ate only a few bites of our food, then finished our drinks and fled, hoping to forget the experience as quickly as possible.

But within hours I had a terrible gastro attack that lasted 3 days.

Now whenever I get the trots, I refer to it as "an outbreak of the Senor Swanky's."

Be afraid. Be very afraid.
