THE Store for Kate Spade Fans!. This store is the one place in town that 's a must see if you're a Kate Spade fan. It has it all. You'll find the whole range of Kate's current products at a range of prices, some items quite expensive, others (like their jewelry) less so. The store is big and of course very colorful, and merchandized very well. The staff is lovely, well-informed, readily available but otherwise happy to let you browse at your leisure.

Plus, I went to a terrific party here for Fashion's Night Out this last September. It wasn't a private party and there was a long line outside the store to get in, but well worth the wait once you were inside.Tim Gunn was there signing his newest book, there was as much champagne and cocktails as everyone could drink and they had a great window display competition with Tim as a judge. And, despite the fact the place was packed, customer assistants still made it easy to shop. I was able to purchase a pair of shoes, a bag and Tim's book without ever getting out of the book signing line. It was New York fabulous, and I'm hoping very much to see another party there this September!

Be the nattiest flyer in club or coach.. Fans of Kate Spade's bags and accessories know her reverence for classic design. This little boutique shows she's downright nostalgic for the days when airplanes were called jetliners, travelers dressed up to fly and a handwritten note telegraphed manners and style. Everything here is precious, sometimes dangerously so. Simple note cards edged in green are perfect for communiques from Constantinople; personal organizers with whimsically decorated pages make Palm Pilots seem newfangled and fussy. And travel accessories like hot water bottle covers and brightly striped luggage have a "Talented Mr. Ripley" verve. Too bad the nod to years gone by stops with the price tags. Even the erasers are pricey.
