Believe it or not, there was a time when makeup artists weren't household names, and the chic black casings that contain MAC's makeup were hard to find. All that has changed now. Beloved by both civilians and pros, MAC's big and fancy Soho shop still gets crowded enough on weekends that you may have to claw your way to the counter.

The Goods
Makeup divas head for the candy-colored powders and huge range of lipsticks, while clean freaks select products from the skin care line. Accessories like false eyelashes and great brushes may tempt you, too. Don't leave without a tube of Lipglass, the shiniest gloss on the market. Very Charlie's Angels.
