The Scene – This 11,000-square-foot brainchild of master facialist Marcia Kilgore probably comes close to most people's utopian vision of a spa. After passing the sign reading, "This Way to Bliss," and opening a blue porthole door, enter a product-laden reception area boasting the first of many celestial trompe l'oeil ceilings; here the receptionists-gatekeepers are busy, yet personable and professional. Move on to the well-stocked locker room, change into a robe and settle into the comfy lounge area for some fruit, sweets and wine while awaiting your therapist. – – The…

I have no idea what everyone else is talking about. It's either you were probably having a bad day or just demanded too much for the service.
I've always wanted to get a facial from Bliss. Timing was everything and when I finally had the chance to get one, I was very pleased with the service.
The facial I had was refreshing, comfortable and over all.. very satisfactory. It lasted 1 hour and 30 min and the facialist was nice and accommodating. I did not feel uneasy with the whole experience. Everything went very smoothly and she did recommend products after the facial BUT only after I was checking out. It was in the product recommendation and it was just a suggestion, I didn't feel pushed to buy any of them.
After my first facial with Bliss, I look forward to seeing them again on a monthly basis. The front desk was very hospitable and I felt very welcomed in my stay.
- Pros: Customer Service, Facial Treatment
- Cons: Should there be one?
Don't make the facialist a sales rep

My facial was a birthday gift card treat. The facilities were fine and the facial was professional and relaxing except for the product pushing. I think they should just not talk about the products until the end and even then, just mention them briefly. Also, a lot of the things they use on people are not avail in trial sizes. If they are really interested in converts, they should create a bag with small sizes for a low price so people can try them at home before committing. I can afford the larger sizes, I'm just not going to shell out for something that is not proven to be worth it to me. And five minutes after my facial is not enough time to prove it.
- Pros: Decent facial
- Cons: Sales pitch to buy their products
BLISS SOHO is a terrible SPA with awful customer service

I made an appointment for a $150 massage, paid for the massage, showed up 20 min early, was placed in lounge for 25 min after my scheduled time to be told by the massage therapist that since I was 12 wks pregnant, because of medicolegal reasons, they could not do the massage. They were rude, unapologetic, and kept insuating that it is stated in their website. Well, I went back and looked over their website and NOWHERE in the website does it specify that they will not perform massages on women in their first trimester of pregnancy. IN fact, like most spas they have services for pregnant women. I had gotten a massage from a much higher end spa the week before where i was treated respectfully and KINDLY specially because i was pregnant and it was clear that they appreciated my business. I understand it is their policy, but what was disturbing was how RUDE the staff including the manager was. They could have been a lot nicer and made the event less uncomfortable and humiliating for me. I walked out feeling humiliated and mistreated.
- Pros: none
- Cons: poor customer service/rude/
