“With so many other great options in NYC, why waste your time here?”
“This is a great place.”
“First massage was so good, I had to come back for more.”
“Great service but get ready to BUY BUY BUY”
“compared to some of the prices i've paid for waxing, i think Haven is an excellent bargain!”
“The receptionists were really nice and when I showed up 45 minutes early, they squeezed me in early.”
It might like seem like it from the outside, but it is a very nice and calming spa. I had a massage that left me feeling relaxed and great.
Best Massage Ever. I just got back from another fabulous massage at Haven Spa with Lara. I had been seeing a Physical Therapist for pain and restricted movement in my shoulder and not improving. I thought I would try a massage and lucked out. Haven is a wonderful relaxing place and Lara absolutely knows what she is doing. MY shoulder is perfect and my tight muscles elsewhere are gone.
Excellent! All my friends go there!. A little expensive - but good value for money.
Truly lives up to its name!.
Mariola is a master waxer!
I despise shaving, and would just prefer to wax my body head to toe haha. So i'm no stranger to the process, but hadn't found a regular place since i moved to the city two years ago. I scheduled a french bikini with the gourmet wax since I have extremely sensitive skin. Mariola is a no-nonsense but wonderfully friendly esthetician, and while she was performing my service PAINLESSLY, we had a great conversation! She seriously had me out in less than 20 minutes and her work was flawless. I had no discomfort and no irritation afterwards.
Haven is a beautiful spa with friendly and incredibly talented staff. I am so happy I found it!
best mani pedi !. I love this plaxce, it's clean the staff is friendly and the vibe is relaxed.
Best bikini wax NYC. I've been coming here for the last 5 years. I totally trust them, they do a great job, and they're really laid back but still professional - they're all genuine people. I have my favorites - Monique and Marta - but I'll go to anyone because I know I'll get the best bikini wax no matter who does it.
Best Facial in the City. I have been coming to Haven for waxing and threading for years. They do a great job. I started coming here regularly for a boot camp facial about 7 months ago. Stalina is the best and I highly recommend her!!!! She has helped to transform my skin by recommending products that are suitable for my skin and for the different seasons. She has also customized my moisturizer in order for me to obtain the BEST benefits from each product. The cost of these customized moisturizers are extremely reasonable and last a long time. It has made a world of difference. I am constantly asked by friends and family what I have been doing for my skin!!
Great place for waxing.
I have been to Haven for waxing of almost every type. I think that some people are better than others, but you need to work out what you like and what's important to you. For example, I prefer one woman for eyebrows and another for bikini waxing. The prices are great, and only once did I have an issue with my service. Having gone dozens of times, this is a great track record.
I haven't had any massages, but every time I go, I think about how the experience would be a smidge better with better lighting or some relaxing music, and the walls are pretty thin. So I can understand why the previous reviewer didn't quite enjoy her experience. I definitely recommend for waxing, though.
HAVEN IS OPEN. If you do a search for just "Haven" you can find the real citysearch listing...how confusing!
STOP Slamming Doors. I needed a nice quite relaxing massage and instead I heard constant slaming of doors for an hour. I was in the room right behind the waiting area and I could hear everything. Some spanish speaking staff members talking in the hallway and I lost count at 20 times, slaming doors. Are you kidding me? Something so simple to fix and nobody ever address this issue? I work the night shift in a hospital and we have a policy of turning the door handle when closing the doors. You don't hear the click of the lock, not a peep. So Haven management, teach your employees a simple rule. No talking and no slamming doors. You are selling peace and quite with your services. If I want noise, I will stay home with my kids.
