Seasoned-spa goers tired of ho-hum menus will be pleasantly surprised by this spa's unique treatmentsWhile the private rooms for the nail, waxing, massage, body and facial services aren't much to look at--they verge on clinical--the candle-lit relaxation room boasts cushy sofas and cooling drinks.
STOP Slamming Doors
by lucky888 at Citysearch
I needed a nice quite relaxing massage and instead I heard constant slaming of doors for an hour. I was in the room right behind the waiting area and I could hear everything. Some spanish speaking staff members talking in the hallway and I lost count at 20 times, slaming doors. Are you kidding me? Something so simple to fix and nobody ever address this issue? I work the night shift in a hospital and we have a policy of turning the door handle when closing the doors. You don't hear the click of the lock, not a peep. So Haven management, teach your employees a simple rule. No talking and no slamming doors. You are selling peace and quite with your services. If I want noise, I will stay home with my kids.
- Pros: Underground so away from street noises
- Cons: They make up for it by slamming doors and talking in the hallway
Not enough time
by spacouple at Citysearch
My husband and I came in this past weekend for massages. Yes, we came in 5 minutes late, but then they had us fill out forms, had to wait for the locker room (only 2 co-ed bathrooms and 4 people waiting in line) to change. By the time we layed on the tables, we lost 20 minutes of our 60 minute massage time. My complaint is that the front desk should have told us this once we came in. At least I would have changed my appointment to a 30 minute massage and pay for what I received. Don't just pass us along until the therapist ends the session and we are confused as to why it's so short. For the future, if clients are running late (hello, NYC traffic). Skip the paperwork and don't need to change into a robe. Saving these steps gives the client more time for what we are paying for.
- Pros: Massage Therapists
- Cons: Time management from reception staff
Nothing but the Best
by Onielynn at Citysearch
I have been a client for over two years and enjoy the spa. However, some staff members need to be a little more courteous and helpful. The therapists are fine; it's the desk staff that could use some additional training in professionalism. Although it was a recent bad experience, I'll continue to go because of the therapists and the wonderful cozy atmosphere. Several of my friends and I make a day trip to NYC just to go to this SPA.
ENJOY!!!
- Pros: Beautiful Setting, wonder ambience
- Cons: Desk Staff
