Great location, OK hotel. The location of this hotel is great if you're visiting lower manhattan. It's within walking distance to Wall Street, Soho, Village, East Village, ... Located on the border of Chinatown and Little Italy, close to some great restaurants and interesting shopping areas. The rooms were about average size for NYC and clean. We had a room on the top floor and the view was ok and it wasn't as noisy as the lower floors. Housekeeping and front desk were helpful and very friendly, although the doorman was not. Double bed (two) room ok for 2 or 3, but a little crowded for 4 people.
no bargain. We wanted to save money in Manhattan because who spends much time in a hotel room there, right? Well after day one I begged my husband to look for another hotel because it was just that uncomfortable. No dressers! No inner curtain on the window; it was either pitch black or totally exposed to the windows just kitty-corner from ours. The air conditioning was obnoxiously loud. The bathroom was absolutely tiny: only room for one person at a time. We were constantly crashing into one another. Of course, this close to Canal St. it also smelled bad right outside the door.
