“The student was very professional and made me feel comfortable.”
“The students here are so nice, one even stopped my to compliment my new style and bring me a cup of tea.”
“don't know if they have started to train a different way since my last visit or if I just got a bad egg, but Brandon was FANTASTIC!”
“its a nice place, nice setup.”
“will never go back to or recommend Bumble & Bumble after my student cut there, and still think Vidal Sassoon is the best-quality student cut & color in the city; but for value, efficiency and great products, Aveda Institute is a gem.”
“believe they have great service all around, and the spa and facials are heavenly.”
“love Aveda products and their philosophy, but do yourself a favor and pay the money for a professional.”
“For the less brave who just need a quick non-drastic cut, this place is great.”
not a good value. I went in for a hair color and came out looking like Bozo the Clown. I wanted a coppery shade but I told the instructor that I preferred it to be more reddish-brownish than orange in tone. Well not only did my hair turn out the color of a new penny, they also burned my roots which came out two shades lighter than my ends. When I complained to the instructor she said the roots look lighter because of the way the lights hit and that they'll go darker after a few washes. It's two weeks later and I'm now going to a real salon to fix the mistake they weren't even willing to admit to.
The Best Service Around. I began going to Aveda on Spring about a year ago and I've never received such wonderful service. The students are wonderful and so willing and eager to learn. And the instructors are such great people too. And they serve you that great Aveda Mint Tea while they work on your hair. I recommend this to everyone around. My entire office goes not!
Euphoric. I've always loved Aveda, but didn't realize how much until my recent and regretful visit to Eden! Aveda's atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are great. I absolutely recommend the full-body, deep tissue massage.
Butchered!. I went to this salon, and the stylist totally butchered my hair! She obviously had no idea what she was doing, and the "supervisor" was nowhere to be found. I ended up with a haircut that is going to take me at LEAST a year to grow out to a normal style.
Undecided. I used to goto the Aveda Institute about 5 years ago for haircuts. I did hair modeling for them so I did not have to pay and always had great experiences. Last weekend I decided to go back for a $15 hair. I was very worried when I saw all students cutting hair and no instructors. My past experience there was always an instructor near by to help or guide the student. Luckily I received a good haircut, but the whole experience made me very nervous. So I don't know if I would go back or not.
The Good "Scents" Spa. Loved the choose-your-own-aromatherapy oil option, soothing setting and free herbal tes while waiting for my CUTE masseur
outstanding. just go...it is fabulous and reasonably priced. You will definately not regret going....
Best haircut, color and price.... Was given the best haircut and color ever for a fraction of the cost I have paid at other salons were I did not even like going. The people here are so nice.
Deal of the year. My student cut was fantastic and such a great deal at $15! I went in a little nervous but was extremely pleased with the results. My student had a consultation about what I wanted and then started with a 10 min mini neck massage. She spent about 1 1/2 cutting and blowing out my hair. It does take a long time but it's really worth it. She gave me the exact cut that I wanted and it's a great cut. I am really pleased. Will definitely be going back.
Love It.
Have been going for years. Saturday's are busy but, Saturday is a busy time for any spa. If you must go on a Saturday go first thing in the morning or late afternoon. I think the negative comments are from people who do not get facials on a regular basis, what do you exact from a facial. Never been rushed and never had the products pushed on me. One negative point, when you call for an appointment you will get so pissed off you probably will not want to go. I suggest making the appointmentin person. If you decide to go I recommend:
Massage: Earl or Christy
Facial: Hanah
Never rushed and they explain the process.
