Editorial Review for Bubble Lounge – by Julie Mehta
The Scene
Bubble's dark, swanky ambience and huge selection of champagnes intoxicate many a young transplant to the big city. Bright-eyed singles bypass the bar to sprawl in the plush sofas and chairs arrayed throughout the spacious, high-ceilinged lounge. Exposed brick, vintage champagne posters and floor-to-ceiling shelves loaded with bubbly create an atmosphere highly conducive to tipsily intimate conversations. Go downstairs to the secluded Krug room for a look at the expansive wine cellar.
The Draw
With more than 300 types of champagne from which to choose, it's easy to splurge. By-the-glass selections range from Piper-Heidsieck to Veuve Clicquot and are offered in tasting or full glass sizes and in flights. If bubbly doesn't float your boat, try one of the potent martinis, such as the decadent Kit Kat, garnished with the chocolate. The menu of salads, cheeses, oysters, caviar, fresh fruit and chocolate fondue makes the celebration complete.

I went here with some pals, and we had a pretty good time. Although we were probably the youngest cats there (it was a 30 something crowd and we are 20s) and there was a very obnoxious guy who kept harassing my poor roommate, it was fun. There is a huge selection of champagne cocktails, and the tapas are quite good. They have a large dessert menu, so definitely go for that. The DJ was rockin' some old school stuff, cheesy but still danceable. There was some goofy dancing (if that's what you want to call it) going on, and even a dance-off which was quite entertaining. It's a large space and it was easy for 7 of us to get a table, so definitely go with a group. You can sit outside on their comfy chairs too if the weathers good. I definitely recommend this place!
Pros: Great Champagne cocktails, fun chill silly atmosphere
Cons: watch out for douchebags

Started a night out on the town here in a group of 10 - this was the best place that night. Besides the fun and comfortable decor, the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. We couldn't afford the $2000 bottle of champagne, but a few magnums later of something more reasonable made us feel like tycoons. A totally fun place. I went on a Friday night, so I'll go back to check it out on other nights.
Pros: Cool, comfortable, fun
Cons: none at all
