cheap eats, good food
by daveseats
One of my favorite places to go to if I'm looking to get filled up for under $15 a person. Service is quick and the place feels cleaner then most of the other joints in the neighborhood. I always get an order of the crispy spring rolls and then one of the rice vermicelli dishes. Add in the low price beers and this place is the type of restaurant that people should have in the back pockets if they can't decide on a place to go out and eat.
- Pros: low priced and affordable, good quality
Great Ambiance, Great food, Good Prices

I recently visited Thaison and was surprised by how friendly the waiters were. Which isn't the norm in ChinaTown. As I browsed their selection I found a lot of appealing options ranging from Vietnamese calamari to their frog legs in chili. I ordered veggie spring rolls with Rice Vermicelli and lettuce. I absolutely loved everything, but the veggie spring rolls. Although my friends non-veggie spring rolls were amazing. The place had some great music. I could recognized many of the songs (although in Vietnamese) and found myself bopping to the beat while eating. The food came out fast and filled us all up. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.
- Pros: Ambience, Service, Food
Great Bun bo Hue, only on weekends though

Decent service, sort of "Americanized" VN food (in a good way) ex. most americans don't like cooked ***** (word for the red stuff that your heart pumps, yeah this web site will not let me use the word bl**d) chunks in thier bun bo Hue for example. Great Bo luc Lac. go there, you will enjoy. My wife is VN and i am well versed in VN cuisene, this joint ranks up there with the best in VN NYC FYI - Bun bo hue is a spicey (Hue style) pork feet rice noodle soup, if you hve never tried it and like your Pho spicey, then you must thry Bun bo hue.
- Pros: Good food, decent service and Ba Ba (33) beer
- Cons: parking is tough.
