Editorial Review for Cupping Room Cafe – by Tracey Ceurvels

The bar at this L-shaped cafe, with its tin ceilings, exposed-brick walls and flickering candlelight, thrives late into the evening. Art on the walls (featuring local artists) changes periodically--but everyone comes for the burgers. Whether topped with avocado and jalapenos or simply plain, the ground-sirloin patty arrives char-grilled on an oversized bun. Offerings from the busy brunch shift include home-baked croissants and Brie-broccoli stuffed omelettes.

I can't say enough about this place. Its been my favorite brunch spot for years. Every time I bring friends they are always impressed by the food and the decor. And the coffee is soo good, seriously much better than any other american spots. So needless to say I go whenever I'm in the states for brunch/lunch food but I only recently tried dinner. I was so impressed! They had a authentic jazz band and the meal was INCREDIBLE. Not to mention I sat next to Claire Danes!! What an evening! ...This place is highly recommended!

Pros: Everything!! Best find thus far!

SO, I heard about this place, that "supposed" to have the best brunch ever. We show up and I at first was not impressed with the decor and all. But I was impressed on how busy it was and the cosiness of the place. We had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table, so I had a cup of coffee at the bar which was perfect. Furthermore, I was impressed with the waiter and the amazing food. Everything was fresh and perfectly balanced for a great hearty breakfast/lunch. I ordered the eggs benedict, their special french toast and brownie a la mode. Alot huh? but I couldnt resist. I will definitely be going back!!!

Pros: FOOD
