Creepy & Cool. If you blink you might miss it but you don't really want to do that! We went before it got crowded and the fun is trying to figure out what it used to be! You will see quite a cast of characters in this dimly lit, eerily romantic cubby hole. Don't think it would've been as much fun if it were packed but guess I'll have to go back and find out.
it's good when it's empty. otherwise, its filled with too many losers to enjoy. lots of office types have turned it into their bar of choice to impress some entry-level girl at the company that they like but it really just shows that they're creepy and uncreative.
Great Place to Chill W/Date or Mate. This is a really cozy place to chill out with a date or with your friends. I've done both. It's a very romantic and somewhat mysterious kind of place. It does get a bit crowded on the weedend but what place downtown doesn't. I usually go on a thursday when it's not crowded at all. The dj is very good on thursdays too.
Packed!. This place is in a pretty shady area and everything around it is closed. Vary dark inside, couldn't see what you'd be talking to. It woulda been a nice place if it wasn't so damn packed! I felt like I was crammed in a frat house and being in a basement, air wasn't circulating and it was hot as sh*t!
fun for a date. This is a great place for a date! Good atmosphere - kind of dark with lots of good crevices for you & your date to sit & get to know each other, but still overall a hoppin' place, so its also fun to people watch. The place has still got it!
Featured by Spike Lee. Just saw 25th Hour and noticed a scene featuring this place. Anyway, nice place.....good tunes and never too crowded. Interesting interior....
Catch a little Double Happiness!. The place was packed, but all the stops were pulled out to accomodate our large(7) group. We had a great table to people watch(always the best spectator sport in nyc!)and have some tasty cocktails....i'm goin' back!
Sauna.
When I was there a few Sats ago - I walked out 10 lbs lighter - the place was smoky and hot and crowded.
The dingy set up left much to be desired.
