Avoid!!. Big time identity crisis here! Tacky overload! They play music obnoxiously loudly, and to make it even worse it's club music. The crowd was strange, including wannabe models and bridge and tunnel They only offer nasty overpriced club drinks. We were only here because the wait for our nearby restaurant was long and we needed a place to sit down for a drink. We would've been better off sitting on the sidewalk drinking beer bought at the deli. Avoid!!
Great food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. I have been going to Diva for years and it consistently delivers delicious food at a reasonable price. The lobster ravioli is incredible and the apple tart for dessert is the best!! The staff is great, and its a very relaxed and comfortable environment. The crowd is also one of the reasons I love to go back again and again. Sunday nights are an especially good time, since they have a DJ late night. I highly recommend dinner and drinks for large groups. They are very accommodating and super friendly.
Unimpressed - bad food, bad service. My boyfriend and I stopped in here after wandering around Soho during the day and thought we'd grab a quick dinner and drink before heading home. I ordered one of the martinis off the drink menu and the server girl came back to tell me they were out of one of the alcohols in the drink...never had that happen! We had picked that place over the restaurant next door (don't remember the name at the moment) because I wanted ravioli and I ordered the mushroom ravioli. It was terrible! I didn't even finish half of it! Our server was really inattentive and didn't check on us. And when she came to take our plates, I expected her to ask if there was something wrong since I hadn't really touched my meal, but she didn't. Just gave us the bill and that was that. It was such a disappointing meal and I can't think of anything redeeming about this place. I feel like a place can get away with bad service if the food is amazing or vice versa, but everything pretty much sucked and I was questioning how they could possibly stay in business running it like that. I guess tourists are good for something!
Great place to throw a party in the city for any occassion.
If you want to throw a dinner party in the city for any occasion, DIVA is the place!!!! Not only the location and ambiance is great but also it is managed by very good, flexible, friendly people. You can actually enjoy the party you are throwing, in stead of worrying about the details, all formalities the other places make you go through … Diva has a laidback comfortable touch... they will do everything in their power to accommodate your needs...
We had a small wedding party at Diva in November for 26 people. And it was lovely... They arranged a long&beatiful table decorated with candles in the center. We brought small center pieces and it was simple but very sophisticated. Everyone enjoyed the gorgeous atmosphere, good food and great conversation. They even let us choose the music we wanted to play... Special thanks to, Gaye (their manager) for all her help and being very flexible and accommodating... We felt like it was our own place! I will definitely plan more parties at Diva...
Diva? More like DUD. On the one rare occasion when I didn't order an appetizer because I usually get full to easy, I eat at a place where the portions were so tiny that I was starving when I left. The food tasted good, but for the lobster ravioli, I only got FOUR raviolis. My girlfriend ordered the tuna dish and she only got four medallions (more like slivers) of tuna with a tablespoon or two of spinach. There was double the amount of spinach than tuna (my theory was that we were supposed to fill up on the spinach). While eating, we had to take the smallest bites possible so that we didn't finish too quickly.
Beautiful ambiance!. I was visiting friends, and they suggested to dine here. It is a very elegant and classy place. It is packed on weekends, you really have to make reservations beforehand. The wait staff is superfriendly, great customer service. The food is excellent. For my next trip to New York City, I will definitely stop by!
Great Soho Spot!. We just happen to stumble upon Diva and are so glad that we did. The food here is so amazing!! Every appetizer we had was delicious. Their lobster raviolli is definitely a must try. The crowd is fun, but the place is not overly loud and crowded. A perfect friday night spot for dinner and drinks! Will definitely be back soon!
Editorial Review. This SoHo eatery is a staple for both locals and tourist alike who want to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Sunday Funday. Had a great night. Good looking people. Amazing music. Pretty crowded and hard to move but it was worth it.
Smooth Party.
I've organized a big last minute birthday party there on february 2007... We had a great value open bar, we were allowed to use their dj booth and play our own music, and move the tables aside to create a dance floor :)) All of the staff from the managers to busboys were very friendly. Nobody really had much of a dinner so i dont know about their food... The manager, maybe it was just the party organizer, her name was Gaye if i'm not wrong, was extremely helpful!
Thank you guys....
