It makes perfect sense that John Waters, connoisseur of homegrown kitsch, would end up showing his photos at American Fine Arts. Gallery owner Colin de Land—a chain-smoking dealer who dresses like a used-car salesman from the 1950s— is, like Waters, dedicated to an ironic sense of the absurd.
