I absolutely LOVE MY hair. Crystal is amazing. I am never disappointed. She gives me exactly what I want and even more. In fact, this last cut and color are probably my favorite. I can't believe how many people have stopped me on the street to ask about my hair. And, I'm getting so many looks while I'm walking down the street, I seriously can't believe it. That never happens to me- before anyhow!!

She even has me straightening my hair sometimes, which I swore I would never do- especially in the morning. However, my cut is so awesome, sexy and hip that I am really enjoying doing it. And, she made it so easy for me to do; and yet, it looks like I came out of the salon each time. It's incredible.

All I can say is SHE is the MOST intuitive style-ist I have EVER gone to. She is stuck with me now!!

Do yourself a favor and check out Lance Lappin and especially go see Crystal. You will not be disappointed

The experience of a Lance Lappin haircut is incomparable! It's obvious that Lance truly loves his craft; the look of total peace as he blew my hair dry was relaxing beyond description. His meticulous attention to detail is unparalleled! Visit Lance; you'll be very happy you did!

best short haircut. Couldn't be happier , I always had my hair shoulder length

that ended up in a pony tail most of the time and wanted to go short but scared that my asian course hair would not do well short , than a friend that wears always the cutest short haircuts recommend me to try Marco at Lance Lappin Salon so I decided to give it a try.

The receptionist was really nice and the rest of the staff fun and friendly , Marco was very fast at putting me at ease , he showed me a few pictures of different short haircuts as options , we decided to go pretty short all over , with a very short fringe and just the right amount of weight on top for me to play with.... it turned up amazing ... I can wear it kind of messy and funky or sleek and chic..... A new me!!!!

Balayage in NYC: Outstanding Color at Lance Lappin's Salon. The sheek downtown setting of the salon should be a dead giveaway for the skill and style of Lance Lappin Salon. I have had balayage done on my hair several times by Sandra. She knows her stuff and has always guided me towards coloring my hair for the most natural and healthy look. As her specialty, the balayage comes out looking marvelous every time. Another time I've had makeup and an hair done for an event by JV. His confidence and playful attitude blossomed into an amazing updo and fantastic makeup. Check it out for yourself. The staff is wonderfully coordinated, stylish, and almost like a family.

Angela is awesome!. I made a spontaneous purchase of a haircut/conditioning treatment through a Gilt City offer. The salon seemed to get overall good reviews so I went for it.

This must be my year for change (and risk) because I not only decided to cut more than 12" off my hair, but decided to do it at a salon that i'd never been to before! Not exactly sure what i was thinking but it definitely paid off and my instincts were right!

Angela was amazing! If i can trust her with that kind of change, i can trust her with anything!

I've always loved my long hair but knew it was time for a change. I now have a flattering modern style that makes me feel great!



Everyone at the salon was super sweet also. It was an overall wonderful experience! I look forward to my next visit!

Visiting from S. California. Was checking out Tribeca in the morning before i had to go for an event in the evening. Stumbled on Lance Lappin salon and was too lazy to go home and wash my very long thick hair so upon inquring, i was greeted very nicely and they were able to accomodate me immideatly with a great stylist name Regina. Lance himself was lovely.

Told her what i was looking for and she gave me 110 % better that what i expected. Got complimented all night on hair. Definately will return to this Salon when i visit NY. Thank you and congratulations on the 26th year.

Sandra is AMAZING!. So in all of my 32 years, I've never changed the color of my hair mostly out of fear that I would hate the end result. I had heard about balayage coloring from a friend & decided to be brave and try it.

Upon entering the salon (which has a very relaxing atmosphere - not stuffy at all!) I have to admit I was a bit nervous! Part of me wanted to turn around and walk out. But the friendly staff made me feel very welcome & I relaxed a bit.

As soon as I met Sandra I immediately felt totally at ease & when we discussed what it was that I wanted, any trepidation that I had completely disappeared. I told her I wanted something very natural looking - I didn't want to end up with blond streaks in my hair! She assured me that the balayage treatment would look very natural.

Sandra methodically applied the color to my hair and after several hours she completed the treatment. After drying it & seeing the end result I was soooooo happy with what she had done! I'm so glad that I went through with it. Sandra really is an artist. Not only is she very very talented but she is also a sweetheart...I never felt uncomfortable in her presence.

I would absolutely recommend this salon & Sandra to anyone. Not only is it easy to get to (train station is 2 minute walk away) but everyone in the salon was very friendly & professional.The salon is truly a diamond in the rough.

Extraordinary. Yesterday I traveled from Freehold New Jersey to have a most extraordinary experience. Starting with the friendly welcome upon entering the Salon from Lau to the final outcome. Lance and Ivy have have created an atmosphere that makes you feel as if you are the only one they care about even though its evident there are many other people in the shop that are being treated royally too.

Sandra picked the perfect hair color and applied it with such care and artistic skill, she has a good eye for what suits you the best.

Song not only washed my hair gently, but also gave a delicious shoulder massage.

Lance proceeded to give the best haircut I've had in a long long time. His healing hands seemed to not only cut my damaged hair, but heal it at the same time. He carefully sculpted my hair to suit my face and personality.

Finally Dino artfully applied make up to to enhance and complete the whole picture.

During this time Ivy was meandering through the Salon capturing the magic that was happening with her camera.

To end this experience with a Jin Shin Jyutsu session in the beautiful room that has been set up upstairs is the ultimate!

For this wonderful experience, the travel into the city was definitely worth every moment. I definitely will come back.
