The Scene
Space's light, airy Soho salon is home to talented hair stylists, colorists and the super-luxurious Deep Conditioning Treatment. For a surprisingly reasonable price (the fee goes up significantly if you want a blow-dry or style afterward), the treatment uses the exceptional Leonore Greyl products to moisturize and repair dry or damaged hair.
The Services
Anticipating a revival of "natural," air-dried hair on the spring runways, Space has designed the treatment to restore lustre and shine to hair that has been overly treated or blown dry. Incorporating jasmine oils, honey hair masks, heat lamps and lots of pressure-point massage, the Conditioning Treatment is one luxury that's definitely worth it.

I have been going to Space Salon for almost 8 years and every time has been a pleasant experience. The salon is in Soho and convenient to trains. The ambiance is great - lofty and chic and very upbeat. The stylists are talented and cutting edge and the assistants are always friendly and greet you warmly and offer tea or water. I have always enjoyed a wonderful massage along with the shampoo. Mark has been my stylist and he is superb! He is the best colorist in NYC! His assistant is terrific too! One of my colleagues recommended him and I have since sent many other friends and colleagues to Space. The receptionists are always professional and the place is very well run. All around, a great, fun experience with expert results.

I've been a regular Space client for months now, and there are not enough positive words to express my happiness about it! Unlike other (nearby..) salons, Space is unpretentious and cool even though it's the best out of all of them with the most awesome people. I'm a double process silvery blonde, and Lola does the most amazing job every time. She's basically the best, as is Dean who cuts a killer bob. I don't know what I would do without either of them or without Space.
Pros: staff and skill and everything.
