STAY AWAY STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

I went here to get my hair permed & cut. I have had my hair permed many times before at various salons and no-one has really ever messed it up until now. My scalp now has chemical burns, even my ears are now burned. Not to mention my hair is extremely brittle & has been falling out from the solution being left on too long. The whole process took about 4 hours when it should have taken about two. The girl who permed my hair actually left in the middle of the process and worked on other people. I had to raise attention for them to have someone else come and finish the process. DO NOT GO HERE, PLEASE AT ALL COST STAY AWAY.

I ended up with a military length hair cut inspite of requesting to keep the length. The hair washer was so aggressive I left with an inflammed scalp. Caulk it up to experience and in 2 months I will have enough length to get the cut that I had hoped to get today. As for value ... 24 bucks ain't much, but it would have been free to use a pair of clippers on myself.

Great place

I have been going here for about 9 months and I am always pleased. I get my hair cut by Johnny Lee and he is excellent every time. I am a man, so this review may not apply as much to women. Anyway, for $24 I get a very good quality hair cut and my hair washed as well. I wouldn't recommend just walking in. Even with a reservation you will probably wait 10 or 15 minutes to get your hair washed. All in all, you can't get this quality of hair cutting at this price anywhere in NY.

• Cons: magazines not in english (bring your own reading material)
