John's is all about its pizza oven, a coal-burning monster that cooks with an infernal flame unmatched by gas-oven rivals. The pizzas cook fast but the bottom is crusty and the whole thing has a taste and texture all its own. The place is seedy and not a little dirty, but that's all part of its downtown charm.

Great pizza and and fresh toppings. Come to Bleeker street and enjoy a real downtown classic. Staff could more responsive to the customers but the pizza is why we are here and it is to die for.

Great Pizza. occasionally, the staff seems to be in a parallel universe (perhaps, in a different dimension ! they seem to look and pass through you ! ) - otherwise, they are cool. Overall recommended for good food and reasonable price ( and service).

Great Pizza! Yet Indifferent Service??.
While the Pizza was good.
John's staff's "indifferent" attititude towards their customers this past week, left me with a "I'll never come back here"
Slam. What's your order? Slam, Here are your drinks! Slam, (no comment from staff) , I guess, here is your bill. My Slam. Left them a $ 1 tip

Great pizza!. One of my favorite places to go for a good meal. You can't go wrong with really anything on the menu.

Great Pizza!. had a great dinner! I grew up in the city of Chicago, Have worked in the industry (restaurant) for nearly a decade, ....(so I know what I'm talking about).This is the best option in this area.

PERFECT, OUTSTANDING, THE BEST PIZZA EVER!. This pizza is PERFECT. Coming from an Italian family that once owned a pizza restaurant, I can say that, hands-down, this is the best NY style thin pizza from coal fired ovens EVER! Don't miss it! WONDERFUL!
