Editorial Review for Bleecker Street Records – by Lissa Townsend Rodgers
The Space
A big (nice and cool in the summer, I might add) room with a constant buzz of activity, though it never seems to get crowded. The walls are bedecked with rare or just aesthetically pleasing albums from floor to ceiling--Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, say, or the Lat-teens, or all four KISS members' solo albums in a tasteful display.
What They've Got
Fifty percent CDs, 50 percent vinyl. Everything, in every sense of the word--not only do they have a full complement of genres, but they also have incredible density: 31 Rolling Stones CDs! 15 Ani Di Franco CDs! Hell, 10 Chumbawumba CDs! Bleecker Street also features live discs by seemingly everyone, as well as all kinds of general rarities which could easily lure one into deep Visa debt--like that $99 Velvet Underground CD (OK, it's a two-disc set).

This is to a good friend. Thanks for all the Bruce. If you ever threaten me physical harm again, the last time being 20 years ago, i will laugh just like i did then. Have a nice day Bob.

The records were okay, but the people who worked there were such a**holes, I wouldn't go there again if you put a gun to my head.
