Decent Turkish food at reasonable prices. I'm a huge fan of Turkish food so imagine my delight when we moved a ten minute walk from this restaurant which according to many reviews is the best Turkish joint in town.

It's a neighborhood kind of place with a small outdoor patio, and a narrow, interior dining room (read northing fancy folks). It's summer so we opted to sit outside.

I ordered the Adanna kebob and my husband had the lamb doner. Without question, my Adanna was a huge hit - flavorful, tender and delicious. The doner was lunch bag let down. The meat was a bit tough and dry.

The service was super quick and friendly.

We'd return but next time we'll order the Adanna.

Great food. I went there with my friend last Friday for dinner and we waited about 10 min for table but I didn’t regret. We had combination plate with turkish appetizers. 4-5 kinds of traditional starters as a hummus and eggplant salad made as exciting for main courses. It is so delicious! For entrees I had shish kebab, my friend had a falafel sandwich. My shish kebab was great: fresh, soft, and tasty. My friend ordered falafel sandwich. He loves it. Food is really good, fresh and high quality .We highly recommends this place. Quality food & fast service & friendly staff & best prices makes this place is one of favorite in city.

Authentic. I think authentic is the best way to describe this little restaurant. From the outside you are mislead as to what it will be like it looks like a little deli from the outside. Once inside you are immediately greeted and you can either order at the counter to go or be seated. The restaurant itself is small but has the community atmosphere about it. Seems like it can get loud however if you are familiar with the culture this is a warm, inviting and familiar atmosphere that you would be used to. The lamb has been the best I have had in the city thus far and I have grown up here! Perfectly cooked (not tough and not soft and grainy at all and almost just melts in your mouth). I will say that the chicken Gyro is average here. If you cant decide what you want you can try the mixed grill which lets you sample everything you could possibly be deciding between. The falafel is not dry and even though fried isn?t dripping with oil and too heavy. Although limited the wine selection fits the food perfectly. Not to mention for NYC it is very moderately priced for what you get!

The service by far adds so much to this, they are quick and nice. I maybe sat for about 3min before my lamb gyro came out and then another 2 or so for the falafel. The meals take a little longer but nothing to the point where you are wondering what they are doing. The waitress was the owner or manager and makes it a point to make sure everything is to your liking. You can tell she cares about what is put in front of you. The rest of the staff was amazing as well. Also a good point to mention, If you are Hindu or Muslim no need to worry they do not serve beef or pork in the restaurant so you do not have to worry about any religious restrictions and can eat in peace. So to sum up... I chose authentic to describe this due to the atmosphere the kindness and the knowledge of the food and people who eat it. All in all one of my faves in the city!

Average!. I received a gift certificate for this restaurant, so we decided to check it out. We were seated on the lower level, up against the stairs. It was crowded, the tables are very close together, and it was quite noisy. We were sat right next to a big party- not romantic at all. The food and drinks were okay, a bit over priced, but what isn't in New York??! The customer service was great and much appreciated, but the environment was a let-down.

service. the manager's got a serious lack of manners or a sense of customer service. he wouldn't eat his own food here. he would eat down at the falafal stand at the corner. he probably wrote the other reviews...

restaurant or fast food or turkish friendly faces. very friendly service so show it with a good tip. Prices are as low as $5 so you can def find something youll like at a bargain.

Food takes a few min to get ready but its very very tasty. Its the softest lamn meat ive eaten in america in a long time.

theres a restaurant style seating or a take out counter.

Turkish Fast Food. This is a fine Turkish fast food restaurant with good service and value food. It is one of the best Turkish fast food restaurants in the city. I definately recommend as a value, fast food restaurant.

An excellent value. Istanbul Grill serves quality Turkish cuisine fast and cheap. The recently renovated space offers a small, but clean and pleasant eating area. My favorite is the falafel sandwich, but everything--from kebabs (as sandwiches or platters) to thabouli salad--is great. If only they'd get the amazing Turkish bread they used to serve back, but for now the pita is fine.
