The Scene
This basement warren of rooms, with cherubim and flowers popping up wherever possible, underscores the restaurant's romantic motif. The clientele consists largely of couples, most of whom seem to be regulars. Rushed servers hustling to and fro, and clouds of hot steam emerging from the kitchen.
The Food
The frequently changing menu consists of fairly inventive Italian food in a rich vein. A polenta cake, festooned with a confetti of hard cheese and uncooked arugula, is simple and appealing; so is a creamy potato salad with capers. Caprese salad, though, suffers from flavorless mozzarella, and a salmon fillet is dry. The fresh pastas are generally a good bet: huge four-cheese ravioli are deeply flavored and mellow, and pappardelle drenched in cream, though heavy, have excellent flavor.

I am a pasta lover and can eat it all the time. I must have had it everywhere. The only thing I can say is that i wish they had better service and I was on the cusp of giving the 3.5 stars, but since that is not an option they get 4. We waited longer then I expected and even though my porcine mushroom pasta was very nice, the taste was a bit ruined by the service. But I think that is something that can be fixed so I would come here again..

Went to Tanti Baci a few weeks ago and found the food to be very, very good. Fresh ingredients make the difference and the flavors of the dishes were excellent. I liked the cozy ambiance as well. Definitely would go back.

The food here is exeptional, it is better than any other italian restaurant I've been in . No matter what I order here, the flavors are never dissapointing. The service is excellent, especially from the Spanish waitress, she always makes you feel at home. The ambiance is very quaint, very ideal for a first date. The only negative thing I can say is that the food portions are small for the price and the manager could be a little friendlier.
