Worst counter service

I agree with everyone writing about the the terrible counter service. The guy behind the counter is a complete waste. He scowls when you order, never says thank you, doesn't give you a bag unless you ask, takes forever. I've been here twice and the first time this happened. So I thought I'd give it another try and be extra nice and it was the same rude service if not worse. The food is all right but definitely not worth the attitude. i work 5 blocks down at a large corporation and am telling everyone i work with not to go there.

Worst Service But At Least They're Consistent

Twice this week I've gone in for coffee, stood at the counter and waited while three people looked at me, not one "can I help you?" The "manager" if that's what he is, is utterly useless. Too busy socializing (to the waitress--"why are you wearing a hat?") to wait on customers. I'm writing this on August 6, 1008, at 5:15, I was in about 5 pm, so if the owner is reading, you should be able to figure out who was working. Second time this week, same appalling service. Never again. And the coffee is weak anyway. Go to Grey Dog.

Great Dinner Experience

I recently had dinner at Out of the Kitchen outside and had a terrific experience.

The waitstaff were competent and polite.

The food was terrific and fresh.

Everything arrived hot and promptly.

Had a delicious cheesecake for dessert and it was a nice way to spend a summer evening.

My experience was all in all a strong thumbs up.

Awful table service, too

I had dinner here recently, mostly so that I could sit outside. Our two servers were clueless, needing to be asked to bring our wine after 20 minutes (and then it still took awhile), forgetting part of the order, offering sweetly to refill water and then disappearing for half an hour, blaming each other for poor service, all while the place was almost empty. Bizarre! The food was fine; nothing for which I'd withstand the confused and negligent service.

Worst Counter Service Ever

It's a shame b/c I live right around the corner from this place, but man, that Counter guy ruins the place! He is very surly. God forbid you just come in for a muffin. It's like counter service is for second-class citizens only. I wonder how the owner does not know this about his personality. Last time I went in there to get coffee (which I still occasionally do b/c I'm short on time, etc.) the woman next to me in line said the same thing about the counter service. The food can be good, but it can take FOREVER I also agree that the last time I went in there the cupcakes were stale. I pray for new management, b/c it's just too close to my place to be this bad.

• Pros: The prepared meals are usually good - though not worth the wait.
• Cons: Surly counter guy.
