The Scene
This little package store makes buying booze feel positively elegant. Maybe it's the model of an antique train set winding around a ledge near the
ceiling, or the hardwood floors and decorative displays. Or perhaps it's the history (Manley's been here since the end of Prohibition, after all). Whatever it is, this place has enough charm to inspire a monk to make a purchase.
The Goods
Manley's stocks everything from $8 bottles of Merlot to a solid stash of all the hard stuff needed for a fully-loaded liquor cabinet. The wine selection is more impressive than most, including vintages from Portugal, Australia, Chile and a host of other grape-loving countries, while the prices range from moderate to hundreds of dollars. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and plenty of recommendations are always prominently displayed.

This wine and liquor shop is such a cute sort of little village type shop. You can tell that they put though in their inventory, with new additions prominantly displayed. But one of hte best things about this place is the fact that it is sort of fancy but they have a great selection of inexpensive wines. It seems as if they pick them because they are a good buy, meaning they are good--not just cheap.
