The Scene
After doing time at other salons, including downtown favorite Robert Kree, 20-something Spresa Bojkovic decided it was time to go it alone. Well, not entirely alone: Along with friends and former co-workers, her laid-back, tight-knit staff includes little sisters Sija and Bea. And the superhero-sounding name? It's actually Spresa's boyfriend, Damian, plus West, as in Village.

Stylish cuts and color by a team of seasoned pros who are all smart about working with a client's needs as well as fixing other salons' mistakes. Though regulars have their favorite go-to person, most are also comfortable seeing any of the seven stylists--a testament to the consistent quality and easy, familiar vibe. I've been going to Tamara at Damian West for about 5 years now and find it very hard to go anywhere else. I can show up, tell Tamara a vague idea about a haircut I saw on the street and she'll turn out a fabulous cut that lasts 6 months without looking shabby - so budget-friendly!

Damian west is ok. I really liked the hair dresser I saw there, but she left, so i've followed her. My only complaint was it wasn't the most friendly of places. best of luck in ur new location
